After two consecutive earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaraş, which shook Turkey and resonated all over the world, efforts are being made to heal the wounds of the disaster. While the support of the citizens and volunteers poured into the earthquake area, the help of famous actors, leading figures of the arts, sports and business community also attracts attention.
Aid is pouring in to the region where thousands of people lost their lives and thousands of people were injured in the tragic event. Many popular actors who appear on the screen with their TV series every week also have a share in these aids.
The names, who actually prepared aid boxes together with the volunteers in the field, and shared information with their material and moral support through social media announcements and messages for days, also pioneered a campaign.
With the slogan of ‘Stop the sets’ initiated by some organizations of the cinema and TV series industry and including many actors such as Pınar Deniz and Demet Özdemir, the call to send the caravans in all TV series and movie sets, as well as materials such as generators and lights that will work in the earthquake zone, to the region was met.
It was learned that the production companies started to stop the work on the TV series and movie sets, and Ay Yapım started to send some materials to the earthquake zone with the caravans on the set.
Finally, it was learned that an aid campaign was started, including the teams working in the TV series, with materials such as caravans and generators, in cooperation with an organization participated by companies that produced many famous TV series such as Yargı (Judgement), Yasak Elma (Forbidden Apple), Teşkilat (Organization), Aldatmak (Deception), Mahkum (Prisoner), Muhteşem Yüzyıl (Magnificent Century).
It was announced with a statement that the majority of the production companies affiliated with Tesiyap, the Association of Television and Cinema Film Producers, of which dozens of production companies are members, stopped their TV series and movie sets in order to support the charity work.
It is stated that the caravans and generators of the three production companies Med Yapım, MF Yapım and NTC were sent to Hatay, and they also provided medical supplies, heaters, fuel, food and human power.
It states that TIMS&B and AY Yapım companies also provide support to the region with technical materials.
