Adım Farah (My name is Farah) series became one of the alternative productions on Wednesday evenings. Despite the presence of two influential leading actors, Engin Akyürek and Demet Özdemir, the fact that the series was broadcast on Fox TV was a factor that made the audience nervous. Because, there is a rule such that if there is no good rating for Fox TV, there can be no TV series projects that will not be spent. Because the channel management does not show patience if good ratings do not come, no matter who the leading roles are, no matter how strong the audience loyalty is.
That’s exactly why, although the 9th episode of the “Adım Farah” series has been left behind, the audience’s uneasiness has not ended. The fans of the series, which finished the day seventh in the category of all people with its 7th episode, ranked fourth in the AB and third in ABC1, did not go away.
Adım Farah only gets very good ratings on ABC1. More importantly, it manages with ratings of 3-4 in all individuals and AB groups. This situation can be seen as a complete knife edge position.
However, as the story of the series develops, the loyalty of Turkish TV series fans abroad is increasing rapidly. Exactly, this factor, which enabled the TV series Gecenin Ucunda (At the end of the Night) and Tuzak (Trap) to stay on the screen for 26 episodes, started to be important for the Adım Farah series as well.
The positive reflection of this support, especially from abroad, on the sales of the series in foreign countries will strengthen Fox TV’s ownership of the project. Of course, even if there is no problem in keeping it on the screen this season with the ratings, will Fox TV management want to continue the series in the second season?
Do not think, “A series starring Engin Akyürek and Demet Özdemir, of course, will continue”. Let’s say that the social media support of the audience and the increase in sales from abroad are critical for the continuation of the Adım Farah project.
Even if it’s not a problem for now, as the weather warms up, the viewers are suddenly disconnected from the screen, and especially the months of May can be accepted for many series.
