When information was shared for the new season in the Arka Sokaklar (Back Streets) series, which will continue with its 17th season on Kanal D, Şevket Çoruh’s name was also included in the cast. The allegations that the master actor will leave the series during the summer period were also invalidated with the information made by Kanal D.
However, the latest information has revealed that Şevket Çoruh has left the series. The master actor also touched everyone with his farewell message to the Arka Sokaklar series, in which he took part in 16 seasons and 632 episodes.
Şevket Çoruh, who has been in the crew of the Arka Sokaklar series for many years with the character of Commissioner Mesut, now wants to focus more on both theater and cinema, so he left the series.
The statement made by Şevket Çoruh was both emotional and shocking for the fans of the series. Mesut, who we watched on the screen for 16 seasons, will no longer be in Arka Sokaklar. Here is Şevket Çoruh’s farewell message to his fans:
“For 16 seasons and 632 episodes, I ran, ran, chased in Arka Sokaklar. I sweated with Mesut until the last minute. Today I am at the end of this road.
Special thanks to our producer, Mr. Türker İnanoğlu, to our team in front of and behind the camera with whom I worked shoulder to shoulder for years, to everyone who contributed to the broadcast and production, and to our audience, whom we watched eye to eye for thousands of hours on the screen.
“Those who see from afar think it is MESUT, my life has turned into a ŞEVKET…”
Arka Sokaklar series was shaken by the overlapping separations in the 15th and 16th season finals.
Last year, Yüsra Geyik, Merve Oflaz and Onur Bay said goodbye to the series. Afterwards, Arka Sokaklar fans, who witnessed the departure of Yiğitcan Ergin and Ela Yörüklü from the series this season, were very upset by this development. Now, it has been revealed that the claim about Şevket Çoruh’s decision to leave is true.
It was announced by Kanal D last week that new names joined the TV series Arka Sokaklar, which was prepared for its 17th season. These new names are; Cansın Çekili, Batuhan Ekşi, Sebahat Fabric, Cem Uçan and Nuray Hüseynova.
Zafer Ergin, Özgür Ozan, Oya Okar, İlker İnanoğlu and Ozan Çobanoğlu will continue their roles in the cast of the series. The 17th season of Arka Sokaklar is expected to start on Kanal D soon.
