The Istanbul premiere of the short film Mutlak, in which actor Boğaç Aksoy, who was diagnosed with lymph cancer in 2021 and took a break from the sets on the advice of his doctor, starred in the treatment process, was held last evening at Çekmeköy Crea Center as part of the ‘Digital Film Festival Istanbul’.
Boğaç Aksoy, who played the character of Adem in the film, for which Volkan Karataş wrote the script and also directed, explained his feelings after the screening with the following words:
“It was a wonderful experience for me to portray the youth of the master artist Halil Ergün in the film and to be on the same set with him.
I played an explorer who was doing research to make the world green again, at a time when almost all of the world’s soil dried out and the earth’s crust changed shape.
One of the most important things I can share about the film is that at the time of the shooting, I had second stage cancer and was also in the treatment process.
Absolute was a project in which I took part with intense emotions and the intention of healing simultaneously with its subject. “Our aim to make nature green again also motivated my recovery process.”
