The TRT co-production “Kesişme; İyi ki Varsın Eren”, which tells the life story of Eren Bülbül and Petty Officer Senior Staff Sergeant Ferhat Gedik, who were martyred in an ambush set up by terrorists in Trabzon Maçka, broke records on the first day of its release.
“Kesişme; İyi ki Varsın Eren”, which was released on Eren Bülbül’s birthday on January 1, 2022, reached 190,387 people in a day and a half, making it the biggest box-office Turkish movie during the pandemic period.
Those who wanted to watch the movie on its first day in the vision formed long queues in front of the cinemas. Viewers of the movie shared messages expressing their likes on social media. The film attracted great attention not only in the country but also abroad.
The film, which was released in Germany, Austria, France, England, Norway and Denmark, will meet with moviegoers on January 5 in Belgium and January 6 in Azerbaijan.
The talented actor İsmail Hacıoğlu plays the character of “Ferhat Gedik” in the movie produced by Mustafa Uslu, the producer of the films Ayla, Naim Süleymanoğlu and Müslüm, and directed by Özer Feyzioğlu. Rahman Başel and Alayça Öztürk accompany İsmail Hacıoğlu in the leading roles.
The shooting of the movie “Kesişme; İyi ki Varsın Eren”, which is the product of a total of three years of work including research, pre-production, scriptwriting and production preparations, shooting process, and a 14-week shooting process, starting from Hatay, Adana, Niğde, Nevşehir, Gümüşhane, Sivas , Ankara, Trabzon, Istanbul, was held in 9 cities.
The house where Eren Bülbül lives with his family, the hazelnut orchards, the plateaus where he collects wood and grazes animals, and the bazaars in Maçka are used as real spaces in the film.
