Adapted from Hamit İzol’s book of the same name, the movie ‘Roza’ invites the audience to confront themselves in the cinema with its shocking story.

The film, produced by Akiz Yapım and general coordinator by Irmak Çığ Erlertürk, is directed by Mustafa Kotan and its script is written by Sultan Turan Kızılay.

Roza, which tells the drama of a family migrating from Urfa to Mersin as seasonal workers, is preparing to leave a mark on the history of cinema.

The cast of the film, which showcases impressive performances, includes the following actors: “Belçim Bilgin, Fikret Kuşkan, Bahar Şahin, Burak Sevinç, Deniz Bolışık, Ümit Çırak, İzzet Yüksek, Berk Bakioğlu, Ayça Kuru, Hasan Balay, İrem Sultan Cengiz and Arin Alkış.”

‘Roza’, one of the first ambitious films of the new season, completed its festival journey before its release. The film, which won the ‘best actor’ award for Fikret Kuşkan at the International Film Festival ‘Ora!Fest’ held in Italy, will be in cinemas as of Friday, October 6.

The film, which tells about the devastating effects of lack of education, economic difficulties and the ceremony, reveals in full detail only one of the thousands of ‘real’ life stories that took place in Turkey.
