When we look at the first ratings of the TV series Barbaros Hayreddin Sultanın Fermanı, which met with the audience on TRT1 screens on Friday evening, the message that TRT1 may experience great disappointment in the second season is understood.
The first episode of the Barbaros Hayreddin met with the audience on Friday, December 23, when the best-selling Kızılcık Şerbeti (Cranberry Sherbet) was broadcast, as well as the season’s most successful TV series such as the Yalı Çapkını (Golden Boy). The ratings were a big concern. However, TRT1 experienced great disappointment with the rates realized below the average in all audience groups.
The series finished eighth in the AB group, thirteenth in all people and twelfth in ABC1. As it is known, the Barbaros Hayreddin series is the continuation of the series called Barbaroslar Sword of the Mediterranean, which was published last season by spending big money and making great claims.
The fact that the first episode ratings of Barbaros Hayreddin, which also helped Tolgahan Sayışman return to the television screen after a two-year hiatus, were below expectations, seems to be a disappointment.
Considering the first episode ratings, it is understood that the second attempt in TRT1’s project to attract millions to the screen with the story of the world-renowned Turkish sailor Barbaros Hayreddin was not very successful.
The second episode ratings of the series, which will be released next week, will give a clearer idea.
Here is the first trailer from the second episode of the Barbaros Hayreddin series:
