While the 2022-2023 season is in full swing, some productions on television channels are canceled due to low ratings, and some projects are broadcast with great goals. The final took place in the action and politics themed series of ATV named Yalnız Kurt (Lone Wolf). The series, in which important names such as Cihan Ünal, Hasan Denizyaran, Jessica May, Kürşat Alnıçık, took part in the cast, unfortunately completed its screen life with its 32nd episode.
Yalnız Kurt, which started to be published last season with great expectations due to being the project of producer and director Osman Sınav, did not reveal the desired success. Upon the request of ATV to continue in the second season, major changes were made in the series and the cast was strengthened with brand new names. However, the Yalnız Kurt series completed its screen life by making the final due to the ratings far below the average.
Considering the low ratings that ATV found, it would indeed be a great loss for the channel to continue the Yalnız Kurt project until the end of the season. Well, do you know the very ambitious TRT1 project, which received less of the ratings that ATV found low?
We are talking about the TV series named Barbaros Hayreddin Sultanın Fermanı, which was also broadcast on Friday evenings. The second episode of the Barbaros Hayreddin series was broadcast on the evening of December 30, when the Yalnız Kurt series made its finale.
The Yalnız Kurt was in front of the Barbaros Hayreddin series in all audience categories. In other words, the situation of the historical series, which TRT1 broadcast with huge budgets, is not very good in the ratings. Barbaros Hayreddin, who has the problem of attracting the attention of the audience, plays the leading role of Tolgahan Sayışman.
A very strange situation has arisen. On the one hand, there is the Yalnız Kurt series, which was canceled because it suffered losses and received low ratings.
On the other hand, the TV series that TRT1 continues to announce with huge promotional budgets, which is composed of very strong actors and tells the life of a very important person in Turkish history such as Barbaros Hayreddin Pasha, gets even lower ratings than Yalnız Kurt.
There is a big problem here, and it doesn’t seem like it would surprise anyone that TRT1 also experienced a great disappointment in the Barbaros Hayreddin project.
