The handsome actor Emre Bey, who played the leading role in TRT1’s new series Balkan Ninnisi (Balkan Lullaby), was playing licensed football when he was 8 years old. As a child, his biggest dream was to be a football player. The young actor told his story from football fields to acting in an interview with Hakan Gence from Hürriyet Newspaper.
Stating that one of his sister’s friends worked at the agency when he was in high school, Emre Bey drew attention with his statement, “He said, ‘You have a good face, let’s get you signed up for the agency’ and that event has come this far.”
Explaining that he was a high school student when he went to his first test shoot, the actor said, “I went with my school clothes. I had no education. But the director loved me. A few days later, while I was at school, the owner of the agency called, I was in class, and he said, ‘Emre, they want you’. And all of a sudden I started to act in serials,” he said.
Later, the actor, who received training from several workshops, including Atölye Craft, was recognized by a wide audience after he took part in the “Adı Efsane” series in Kanal D. The actor, who studies media communication, froze his education due to lack of time when he started the TV series called Elimi Bırakma.
Emre Bey gave the following answer to the question, “At what point did you say this would be my profession?” “I was young when I started working, but as I got to know myself better, I thought, ‘Yes, I want to do this job’. Acting has always been my dream. Right now, I’m more interested in him than the fame part of the job. After all, fame is what comes with it when you do your job well.”
