Family: He was born in Istanbul, he has a sister. He lost his businessman father when he was 17. “When I was 11, when we were in school, we first acted Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Since everyone acted so fondly, the school administration said, ‘Play once more, then let this become a school activity’. Some of our brothers, who were very important to me, also came and said, ‘Come, let’s take you to the theatre’. My father, as a classical Turkish businessman at that time, was saying, “I am establishing companies for my son; So that story ends there. I lost my father at the age of 17. Upon his will, I studied mechanical engineering. However, I left the third grade. When I returned to Turkey, I worked with companies for a while, then I turned to acting and started the conservatory.”
Childhood years: He was a mischievous child, the idea of becoming an actor was first formed at the age of 11. “I was a very, very, very naughty child who didn’t sit comfortably anywhere, came home with his head popping out, upsetting his mother with his actions. But it was all my own harm. Like every teenager, I did stupid, stupid things. For example, I bought a motorcycle even though my family was against it. How many times have I broken my head and ribs? I’ve had car accidents. Thank goodness I grew up and gave up on that head. After high school, I went to America-New York for mechanical engineering education. In my 3rd year, I left school and settled in Miami. I came back a year later. The partner of my late father, who had a heavy-duty machinery company, was an American. I’ve been traveling to America since I was a kid. My family wanted me to do my master’s abroad. Of course, sometimes life pulls people away while making plans. Being an actor came to my mind when I was 11 years old. Even when I was a student, I received three acting offers from three different people. But I refused. Because I had no knowledge, no education.”
Education life: He graduated from Koç Private High School and started at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York. He left the Mechanical Engineering Department in his 3rd year and returned to Turkey to study at the Müjdat Gezen Art Center Conservatory Theater Department.
A turning point in his life: The unexpected death of his father and the fact that he had to return from America due to the business of the company changed the course of his life. “After all, I was the only man in the family left. But the next year, I cut off my relationship with the company and entered the Müjdat Gezen Art Center. After 4 years of education, I graduated in 2006. But according to some of my friends, I was behind in terms of sector, general culture and mileage. I needed to educate myself, to close myself with other students. This request came true at BKM Kitchen. My classmates Umut Kurt and Ezgi Mola were at BKM Kitchen. I met Yılmaz Erdoğan through Umut. It started with the saying, ‘Come for the new formation,’ and ‘These are very beautiful movements.’ Müjdat Gezen Art Center prepared me for acting and BKM for stage and writing. The BKM process gave me a wonderful stage quality.
The first step into acting: He started his television adventure in 2006 with the TV series “Hatırla Sevgili”.
Which project did it shine with? He attracted attention with the sketches he wrote and acted in the program “Çok Güzel Hareketler Bunlar”.
Structure: He thinks that a profession that he has never had has contributed to his acting, as he is oriented towards acting that can be the head of Mesle. “I have no regrets. He will produce a game that will produce the preparation to do something with the mathematics and geometry in his mechanical engineering education. Because why is concretely an example of what we reflect. It can be written in geometry and its angles taken with cheap play. His outlook on life: He is not a fatalist, he gives up on life. “There is a philosophy that best suits whatever life offers me. So, his life taught me not to plan. I don’t like plans anyway. I was going to play a vocational high school with no future. So is my sister. She also does fashion through cinema. Because she’s happy like that.”
From a business point of view: Acting is unthinkable for recognition and money. “This is a profession that needs to be on your side in order to be there for you. Money and fronts, sides. Its success. and it sets another bar. I don’t play to society. I am not a man who pretends not to be. Theater and cinema are important to me. It’s okay to write such an article. I write, write something everywhere, throw it away. Cinema is something outdated. The ‘Asmalı Konak’ in this sector leaves the section before and after. The person who said, “My daughter can never be an actor”, who did not take up acting much before “Asmalı Konak”, said “Let my child be an actor, too” after the show. I respect everyone who has dedicated themselves to this path. Acting is not like a profession, but a job to be done, there are those who cannot tolerate them at all. You are very. And you don’t become an actor just because you’re funny. It is said that ‘acting is the art of pretending’. It seems like we were chosen.”
Career plan: He wants to act in more dramas, though it’s not meant to be a comedy. “At BKM, they called me ‘comedian’. There is a difference between comedian and childhood. I am an actor whose son played in three of his projects. My personal lives include drama. But in comedy, I am very, very happy. The pace and discipline of drama are very different from comedy. It’s easier to cry than to laugh. We watch in dramas, prepare to focus on a topic and tell about 15 minutes of the show. In comedy, you have to come right through that door.”
His view of love: “Your relationship expression is also; There are things like search quests. Monotony settles in. But when you are in love, you wonder how your hair looks like on the day you see your lover. Even if you’re late for work, you don’t care and you’re having breakfast with your girlfriend.”
His biggest passion: He has a passion for the sea and boats. “My biggest passion since I was a baby is the sea and the boat. Being on the sea gives another peace of mind. You will be away from quarrels, noise and stress. Growing in my business is not timed.”
