Family: His mother is Greek and his father is from Black Sea. He has a sister two years younger than him. Lost his mother in a traffic accident when he was 9 years old. He grew up with his father, grandmother and uncle. His sister, his best friend in life, is not only interested in his future, but also in him.
Childhood years: His mother’s loss traumatized him greatly. He was diagnosed with hyperactivity, was on medication. “What you call a kid must be a little naughty, right, I’m a good naughty! A clumsy child who doesn’t stand still for even a minute, can’t stand, excessively active, constantly breaking and shedding things. I would return home from the street in bruises. I was a pretty street kid. But I found the super benefit of hyperactivity. I think I had a childhood that coincided with the last good and sincere period when we had a grocery store uncle who was known to everyone in the neighborhood and knew everyone, playing ball on the street, coming home with blood sweat and eating badly.
Education life: After winning the Marine Machinery Engineering Department at Istanbul Technical University and studying in Istanbul for a year, he took the exam again and started to study business administration at Ege University. Then he went to Portugal with Erasmus. Upon his return, he decided to study acting at Müjdat Gezen Art Center.
The turning point of his life: During his lifetime in Portugal, a workshop about acting changed the course of his life. “While I was studying Business Administration at Ege University, I went to Portugal with the Erasmus program. I attended an acting workshop in Portugal. It impressed me a lot. When I came back, I studied acting at Müjdat Gezen Art Center. I read a lot of self-help books. Those books I read helped me a lot for my acting. Of course, I notice these later. After all, when you’re studying self-development, you’re kind of studying human science. Acting is a human science, that search is never going to end. ”
First step into acting: He started his television adventure with the character “Earth” in the series “Deep Waters”.
With which project did it shine? He attracted attention with the character “Emir”, which he portrayed in the “A Matter of Honor” series.
Personality traits: Relaxed, natural, impatient, at peace with himself, meticulous, attentive. “I judge myself a lot. This whips and enhances me. So I hear the harshest sentences in my own inner voice. I always listen to other people’s criticism, but by filtering it of course.
Because people can confuse criticism with judgment and frankness with rudeness. I am not ambitious, I am peaceful. ”
Personal development He tries to improve himself in acting. “I am not a conservatory but I try to get all the training. I care about my work and invest in myself in this area. Because then I can create something beautiful. It doesn’t matter where you come from; Getting on that screen, on that stage means you have very serious responsibilities now, you have to improve yourself. Because you can be eliminated not to return to that screen, the risk factor is higher right now. ”
Social: His greatest pleasure is traveling. “I will not die without traveling the world. I feel like I have to see everywhere. I think it is very valuable to see other cultures, to witness other people’s perceptions and ways of living. ”
Mindset: First of all, he thinks that a person should be at peace and happy with himself. “I believe that; your outer world is a reflection of the inner world. If there is disappointment outside, it is necessary to fix the inside first. I’m doing whatever I feel like. I always keep myself open to feeling. Both around me and myself. ”
What kind of person is he on set? He reads, reads, then reads again and lets himself go to the role. “If you really let yourself go to the role, something is happening inside. I just have to accept that coming, in the first place. Then I have to empathize with the role. After empathy, all that remains is to shape the existing dough. Until very recently, I was only interested in my role, so the relationships, feelings, and life of the character I will portray are the only areas I concentrate on. However, now I look at the projects as a whole. I think this has developed with my experience of the dynamics of the sector. For cinema and theater, the character I will portray can win me over despite everything else. ”

Look at love: “ When I fall in love, the impulsive movements that make me who I am begin to settle down. I’m starting to control my actions. The moment I wear what the other person thinks of me, I slap myself. Then I realize that I’m falling in love slowly. It does not happen if expectations and obligations come into play in relationships. It must be devotion. It is also in the character of man, a true love reveals him. ”
His view of life: He never had a ‘I’m famous’ mind. He continues to live like any human being. He doesn’t look at life from there. “I still blush when people want to take pictures with me. Sometimes we also talk to friends. They say, “I guess you forget that you are an actor.” Truly sometimes I forget; because I am already living the life as Şükrü. Acting is something that was added to him later. I did not exist with acting. I was already there. My personality and character were settled. Ever since I decided to act, I just add different competencies to myself. ”
His perspective on business life: Popularity is a trap for him. He advises beginners to not fall into this trap. “Here, popularity is not the goal, it is an indirect side element and you should not take it on your main axis. It is very precious to touch other people’s lives. To be able to say, “I feel what you feel,” without talking. This is what acting is. A state of sharing and empathy. We need empathy in the first place. Acting is something endless. You can look at the situation of that scene, that role, from many different angles and act in many different ways. The only thing is, whichever you choose, you have to do it most organically. That’s why acting is hard. ”
Television or Cinema? “TV series are channels where you bring yourself together with larger audiences. You are starting a character; but you don’t know what will happen in three episodes. You have to be very prepared for this journey. The character you play in the series becomes your showcase. In cinema, you cannot make movies 24/7. Cinema has a certain preparation and shooting process. Since you play a character with a certain beginning and end, you can use your space there in the most efficient and real way. The last in the series is not clear. In cinema, the character goes on a journey with a certain beginning. ”
Role model: People he takes as an example in all aspects of life; His grandfather, as the person he met with Daniel Day-Lewis, whom he admired professionally.
Who does he admire? He admires Zerrin Tekindor and Haluk Bilginer, whom he said learned a lot in the theater play they played.
The criterion of attractiveness in women: It gives importance to the aura of the woman and her energy. He finds confident women attractive. “For me, a self-confident woman means a strong woman who knows what to do. Such women influence me. All of the energies infiltrate the body, the human feels it. I love confident women. I also like tough women in terms of physical appearance. ”
What does he do at home? He likes to spend his time away from work at home. “I love spending time at home. I built a house as I wanted, I love spending time there. I like to host my friends at home and chat with them. In my house, the decisions of my guests are important. ”
What is the most important thing he learned from life? To gain awareness of appreciation.
The biggest risk he has taken so far? Choosing acting. “I was born into a completely different life order. Putting art at the center of my life was crazy for that period. ”
His favorite feature? Both his likes and dislikes are the same; thinking hard and working hard. “I’m too perfectionist. I am Aquarius. I have an analytical mind. It turns out to be a plus for me, but sometimes I can’t see the pluses and lock on to the old ones. ”
Hobby: Playing drums and percussion. Apart from acting, he deals with him the most. “I tried the guitar, I tried the piano, I tried the violin. Finally, I settled on the drums and said, “This is for me!” By the way, of course, I learned something from all of them. Then I did many sports, tried football, basketball, handball at school. Then I got interested in fighting. He has always continued in my life. ”
