Onur Büyüktopçu, who is memorable with the role of Koray in the TV series called Rental Love, continued his career as a presenter in the competition programs called Yemekteyiz, Damat Bayıldı, Gelinim Mutfakta and Çarkıfelek.
The famous actor was a guest of Armağan Çağlayan’s YouTube program and made striking statements. Onur Büyüktopçu, who had his first acting experience in the TV series Lise Notebook directed by Mustafa Altıoklar between 2003 and 2004, also made a confession to Armağan Çağlayan about those days.
Onur Büyüktopçu, who grew up in İzmir Karşıyaka, said that he came to Istanbul at the age of 19 and said, “I played in Lise Defteri for the first time, I had no experience, Mustafa Altıoklar chose me only because I am tall. It was also written in my CV that I played basketball, but I did not know how to play basketball. Fortunately, brother Mustafa did not fire me when he found out about this and I continued the series.
Onur Büyüktopçu, who admitted that he started to act a bit spoiled and snobbish because he was known at that time, said, “After that, when I didn’t get any work, I came to my senses”.
The actor also mentioned that he could not take the criticism very much; “I’ve done good work in front of the camera and after I get off the set and go home, I get annoyed when people gossip about me. I have not been a very pointed person, I am a simple person who goes from my job to my house and I am closed to criticism.
Onur Büyüktopçu, who was the manager and casting director behind the camera before, stated that he would only appear in front of the camera with the statement, “I was doing it just to make money, I didn’t like it anyway, I left behind the camera completely”.
Onur Büyüktopçu, who decided to return to acting after television programs, made his fans happy with this decision.
The actor is preparing to act together with Gözde Mutluer, Ali Ersan Duru, Asuman Dabak, Seyhan Taşdemir, Ferman Akgül, Ayten Uncuoğlu, Gizem Akdağ and Çiğdem Tunç in the film Burçlar, in which Devrim Yalçın is a director.
