Aslı Zengin, the screenwriter of the Erkenci Kuş series, has become one of the most prominent names recently. Aslı Zengin, who participated in the Magazin Noteri program, is known as the successful name behind the scenes of important productions.
The success of romantic comedy productions such as Çilek Kokusu, Kiraz Mevsimi, No 309, Erkenci Kuş is under the signature of Aslı Zengin. Aslı Zengin, who is also the screenwriter of the series Bay Yanlış, has recently attracted attention with the new digital TV series Erkek Severse, starring Alperen Duymaz.
She said in the Magazin Noteri program that there would be no drama without love. Stating that drama stories are not her own subject, she also cries on such issues and is an emotional person, the famous screenwriter therefore prefers to write romantic comedy stories.
Aslı Zengin said, “If I write the drama, I will be devastated and sick. “Romantic comedy is good for me, I’m very happy,” he said. Stating that it is not possible to appeal to everyone in the series, the famous screenwriter said that romantic comedy is selling dreams.
Aslı Zengin used the following words: “It is not possible to appeal to everyone. Especially my field is romantic comedy, we sell dreams. The scenario already revolves around 7 fairy tales. The most important fairy tale is the Cinderella or the prince and princess there. Cinderella has it and will she marry the prince? That’s the essence of romantic comedy.”
Emphasizing that romantic comedy series in Turkey take a very long time compared to the rest of the world, Aslı Zengin stated that there must be environments in order to open a space, and therefore romantic comedies are similar to each other.
Explaining that she designed the story environment by aiming for 60 episodes while she was editing a romantic comedy series, Aslı Zengin stated that she had to open areas for this reason.
