Starring Nehir Erdoğan, Erkan Petekkaya and Serkan Altunorak, the series actually started quite ambitious. In particular, Nehir Erdoğan’s portrayal of a character like Müge Anlı and the fact that she was preparing a program like hers attracted the attention of the audience.
However, this interest only lasted for one episode. The first episode ratings of Sana Söz weren’t very good anyway. In the following weeks, the rating of the series dropped even more. Sana Söz, with its sixth episode aired last week, achieved a score far below the average and remained in the 20th place in the general viewership. The series ranked 32nd in the EU and 29th in ABC1.
This result was quite a surprising result for a TV series with two very ambitious names such as Erkan Petekkaya and Nehir Erdoğan. Because both of them are successful players with high ratings and their work is generally successful. This being the case, it was decided that Sana Söz would make the finale in the seventh episode.
Star TV, which is known for not finishing the low-rated series immediately and giving it a chance, maybe could have continued the broadcast of the Sana Söz series a little longer. As a matter of fact, Star TV did not immediately cut the tickets of low-rated TV series such as Ada Masalı and Kazara Aşk.
However, the health status of Erkan Petekkaya, who was allegedly disturbed by his kidneys, was also effective in the final decision. Erkan Petekkaya, who needed to have surgery, but postponed his surgery due to the shooting of the TV series, was thus enabled to have the surgery immediately.
