Balkan Ninnisi (Balkan Lullaby) Series, one of the most ambitious productions shot abroad after many years, and TRT 1 will screen its first episode on Tuesday, June 21 at 20:00, will draw attention not only with its sincere, heartfelt and cheerful story, but also with its masterful cast. The famous artist Erdal Özyagcılar, who came to Skopje after the “Elveda Rumeli” (Farewell Rumelia) series, which was broadcast years ago and became the center of attention of the people here, will portray the character of meatball maker Süleyman in the series.
The series, in which Erdal Özyağcılar shared the leading roles with Özlem Türkad, Emre Bey and Merih Öztürk, is produced by Yalçın Arı and Uğur Uzunok, and directed by Doğan Ümit Karaca and Volkan Kapkın.
Özyağcılar answered the questions with his new project, stating that he believed that the “Balkan Ninnisi”, which tells about an impossible love story in Macedonia’s capital Skopje, and the funny incidents of two families from different nationalities who started living in the same mansion, would be loved when it came to TRT 1 screens.
The master actor, who went on the set for the fourth series abroad with the Balkan Ninnisi project, is on the agenda again with his new series reminding the Elveda Rumeli project.
Erdal Özyagcilar said the following about shooting TV series abroad: “I also acted in the first TV series that was shot in Turkey and played abroad many years ago. We shot some of the Yabancı Damat (Foreign Groom) in Athens. Then, 12 years later, we shot elveda Rumeli in Bitola, Macedonia.
I also took part in the short-term series “İki Yaka Bir İsmail”. Some of it was shot in Mytilene and some in Ayvalık. ‘Balkan Ninnisi’ is my fourth drama. We are currently in Skopje. When I was offered to play in this drama, I was very excited. There was excitement in the TV series “Elveda Rumeli”, which was shot here in Macedonia. I also found the story very warm.
I have also worked with TRT before. We have been supporting TRT for a long time, since the TV series “Bizimkiler”. When it all came together and I was happy with the role, I joined the ‘Balkan Ninnisi’ family and I am in Skopje. I hope the audience will like our drama and it will meet with the audience for many years…”
