Babel (Babil), Ay Yapım, directed by Uluç Bayraktar, is a Turkish psychological thriller and drama television series written by Nükhet Bıçakçı and Özlem Yücel. The series ended in the 20th episode, which was released on 20 November 2020.
First considered for the digital platform, the series was later purchased by Star TV, one of the mainstream television channels. Very good actors such as Halit Ergenç, Ozan Güven, Aslı Enver, Birce Akalay, Nur Fettahoğlu and Mesut Akusta took part in the team. In the second season of the series, Ozan Güven left, and Onur Saylak joined the series instead. Babel was remembered as a very successful production with its very impressive plot and strong acting performances.

OVERALL IMPRESSION:
Babel was a memorable production by crowning the meaning of good and evil with the question of “To what and to whom?” With its famous and powerful cast, Babel could not continue the same graphic even though it entered the screens quickly during its release. Ozan Güven, who gave life to the character of Egemen in the series, decided to leave the series after the news of violence. Onur Saylak joined the drama instead of Güven. While Babel was expected to perform much better in the second season, its ratings were always low. Although it performed somewhat well in the AB group alone, it was not enough for this sequel. The series made the final in the 20th episode.
STORY:
İrfan, an idealist academic, comes to his friend’s game and is banned from his profession while waiting for his appointment as Dean. The negativity that started in İrfan’s life will not be limited to this. He will learn that his son is sick. İrfan, who goes on a dangerous journey with his wife Eda’s classmate Egemen in order to find the money required for his son’s surgery, goes on a visit to borrow money from Süleyman, who is the contractor. When things do not develop as they wish, Süleyman’s two old friends who decide to defraud emerge.
İrfan and Egemen, threatened with death by Süleyman, started to create a front company called Babil Mining and collect money in order to give back the money they stole from Süleyman, thanks to a new initiative.
With the emergence of her great love, Ilay, the lover of Süleyman, a dangerous businessman, İrfan will face many tests to pass in this adventure. Will the idealistic young girl Ayşe be her savior in this adventure?
