GENERAL IMPRESSION:

The Börü series was tried for the first time in Turkey and made a finale with a feature film after the 6-part television series with pre-shots. Börü, which is the project of Alper Çağlar, who is also the project designer of the films Dağ and Dağ II, deals with the domestic and foreign problems of Turkey in the recent past, as in the movies, while at the same time it contains the real events played out in the series scenario. Inspired by real events in Turkey’s recent history, Börü consists of 6 episodes and each episode lasts for 1 hour.

STORY:

Turkey in the spring of 2014. It is a period in which enemies multiply at the border and the circle of dangers inside is getting narrower. The Republic of Turkey is facing the greatest threats in its recent history. Börü tells the epic of lonely heroes who are on fire with the love of their homeland. They are the last stronghold.

CHARACTERS:

Actors (Character)

Serkan Çayoğlu (Kaya Ülgen) The team’s apprentice when the series started. The reason why Kaya, a college graduate from a wealthy family, joined the Police Special Operations is a sad and heartbreaking story. Even his teammates don’t know about this secret.

Mesut Akusta (İrfan Aladağ) is one of the first generation founders of Police Special Operations. One of the three men known as the Three Presidents. He is a hard-to-find patriot who named BÖRÜ’s name, spirit and tactical doctrine, who has taken over his life in the east, in the swamp, in the fork, with the soldiers and the people. A living legend who was left to rot in Hasdal prison with false evidence in the Sledgehammer investigation, yet does not lose hope for his state.

Ahu Türkpençe (Asena Tümer) The backbone of the Asena Börü team. A woman trying to do the right thing, trying to achieve the best with a big load from her past. Something that is found in very few places in the world; The privilege of having female operators standing next to the men on duty in hot conflict, not behind them, is one of the trademarks of the Police Special Operations. Inspired by a true story, Asena’s story is a representation of the brave and qualified character of the Turkish woman.

Murat Arkın (Kemal Boratav) Participating in the operations with his dear friend Turan, who has a completely opposite temperament, Kemal is one of the reasons why BÖRÜ is known as the best and most effective offensive Special Operations team in the country. He is a genius who voluntarily joined Special Operations, who awarded his PhD in forensic anthropology from Harvard University with the top honor. He struggles every second with the suffocating realities of his loneliness created by his superhuman analytical abilities. Kemal’s quick-witted mind keeps him somewhat communicative from people.

Emir Benderlioğlu (Turan Kara) is the most undisciplined and problematic member of Börü. BÖRÜ’s first episode begins the day he returns from suspension. Despite all his flaws, impulsiveness, and impregnable nature, he is a problem boy who happily takes risks for his comrades and his mission without batting an eye. He atones for his private life, which is in ruins and full of mischief, by saving the lives of his friends and innocents in operations.

Fırat Doğruloğlu (Behçet Orbay) is the team leader of Börü, a fatherly man of heart who became more worried in 2014 as the dangers faced by Turkey increased. He is a dignified leader who sees his subordinates as his brothers and eats away at carrying the responsibility of their lives for the rest of his life with his decisions. One of his biggest problems is that İrfan Aladağ, who was the first generation of the Special Operations, who raised him, was unjustly detained in Hasdal as part of the Sledgehammer investigation. Despite this, he is a pioneer who fulfills his duty completely and does not give up on what his state says.

Ahmet Pınar (Barbaros Çepni) Barbaros is the mechanic and third element leader of BÖRÜ, radio code 34 50. An inventor in his workshop, a ‘breach’ expert in the field, Barbaros is one of the most senior members of the 34 50 elements with his goodwill, courage and unwavering faith in his friends. Barbaros, whose father is a Cyprus veteran, graduated from Yıldız Teknik Mechanical Engineering, and is a high school Police Special Operations officer.

Can Nergis (Tolga Erlik) TEM officer in charge of Börü’s eyes, ears and intelligence, Tolga is an honorary member of the team. An intelligent and prepared police officer who has been transferring information and fresh data to the team in every difficult task for the last ten years, and ensuring that the conflicting elements are one step ahead. The person who trained him is Turgut Atalay, Head of TEM Department, one of the three people who founded the legendary Special Operations called “Three Presidents”.

Armağan Oğuz (Bear Murat) is the heavy weapons specialist of the Börü team. The nickname for his rifle is the ‘Immortal’, a 7.62 magnate that makes car alarms go off when it rumbles. Murat, once overweight, is a cheerful, playful and romantic Barış Manço lover who lost 20 kilos with diet and sports after Turan Kara’s suspension. His favorite folk song is Gülpembe and his team knows it.

Ozan Agac (Baran Harput) is a young man who has progressed from the suburbs of Istanbul, from being a vagrant to working in the flank branch of BÖRÜ. An inseparable duo with his best friend Ömer.

Bedii Akın (Ömer Tunç) is Börü’s second driver, Baran’s best friend. Although he angers his chef with his brilliant ideas, he is an indispensable element with his improvised solutions and unyielding creativity.

Gürol Tonbul (Turgut Atalay) The second of the Three Presidents. Turgut President, who was promoted to the Department of TEM due to his high knowledge, intelligence experience and qualified nationalism after years in Police Special Operations, is fighting for the truth in the increasing darkness after the death of Kenan Tümer, whom he loved as much as his brother, and the unjust arrest of İrfan Aladağ. Despite being in TEM, the BÖRÜ team always respects him as the last President standing.

Tan Altay (Tan Altay) is the ‘sister’ of Börü, responsible for needs, supplies, ammunition and food. Thanks to him, his teammates are able to overcome his homesickness a little at the fork. Even though his food is bad, the whole team gets in line once he has made soup.
