The ambitious production of ATV, Kuruluş Osman, which met with the audience in the past weeks with its new season episodes, continues to be at the top of the ratings and social media with every episode.
The series, which did not fall on the agenda, came to the agenda this time with the leading actor Burak Özçivit and the set staff being in court.
Claiming that Burak Özçivit said insulting and swearing words to them, the set workers filed a criminal complaint against Özçivit. Özçivit, whose statement was taken within the scope of the investigation, said, “It is true that the set environment was stressful, but I never uttered swear words or insults.”
During the shooting of the TV series “Kuruluş Osman” in Beykoz Riva on December 8, 2020, 4 set employees filed a criminal complaint against Özçivit, who claimed that Burak Özçivit, the leading actor of the series, said swearing and insulting words to them.
Stating that he was working as a camera assistant on the set of the TV series, A.Ö said, “I was working on the day of the incident. Burak Özçivit, the lead actor of the series, came out of the tent he was in and cursed towards the set staff, looking into our eyes one by one. Then he left the set. He immediately came back and said the same curses again. When the set workers heard the curses of Burak Özçivit, they were shocked and no one opened their mouths and said a single word. He said that the suspect had similar actions to different people before, albeit not so severely, “he said that he complained about the actor.
Beykoz Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office launched an investigation against Burak Özçivit for the crime of ‘publicly insulting more than one person’. Burak Özçivit, whose statement was taken within the scope of the investigation, said, “I know the people mentioned as the complainant because they are the set crew of the TV series ‘Kuruluş Osman’.
I certainly did not insult them as they claim. It’s true that the set environment is stressful. But no swearing or insults ever came out of my mouth. It is not possible to get out. Anyone who knows me well knows that I am not a person who can utter these curses.”
Stating that there are some disagreements between the set workers and the producer company, the famous actor said, “These people aim to put the producer company in a difficult situation by including my name in this event for the resolution of conflicts. There are close to one hundred people in the set environment.
The purpose of the party in disputes with the company is to take their claim from me. Therefore, their statements are not credible and unacceptable. Bozdağ Film, the producer of the Kuruluş Osman series, has not yet made a statement on the subject.
