Who is Imam Gazali?
Imam-i Ghazali was born in Hijri 450 (M. 1058) in the city of Khorasan, some of which is part of Iranian territory today.
He received his primary education from Ahmed Muhammed er-Razikâni in the city of Tus; Later he went to the city of Cürcan and studied from Abu Nasr al-Ismaili. He then studied science at Nişabur Nizamiye Madrasa until he was 28 years old.
In 1091 he was appointed to the Chief Directorate of the Nizamiye Madrasa in Baghdad. He gained fame and dignity in a short time with his knowledge and a group of students he gained. He died in 1111 (Hijri 505) in the city of Tus, Iran.
