Damla Sönmez, Caner Cindoruk and Serkan Altunorak met in the same project, but this project will be very different from the others. The speed of Turkish TV series spreading around the world is so high that while the producers are shooting different projects, TV series have started to be made for different regions of the world.
For example, the Bozkır Arslanı Celaleddin series made for Uzbekistan was also broadcast in Turkey. Similarly, new series will start to join the series that are made for abroad and then meet with the audience in Turkey. This situation can also be seen as a sign that a great development and a new era is beginning for the Turkish TV series industry.
It was reported in the press that the TV series Mavi Sürgün (Blue Exile) was being prepared by O3 Media for Latin America, where Turkish TV series are widely watched. In parallel with this development, agreements with the actors began to be made.
Damla Sönmez, Caner Cindoruk and Serkan Altunorak are expected to come together in this project. So why is the Mavi Sürgün series an important project? Because, the signs of a new era are being given where Turkish producers are starting to establish partnerships abroad and our actors and stories will be filmed under conditions suitable for the region where the series will be broadcast.
Netflix and then Disney Plus made a great contribution to making Turkey a serial production center. Sector representatives, who had the opportunity to spread more around the world, have brought a new perspective to the sector by preparing different adaptations or original projects by making foreign partnerships.
The series “Mavi Sürgün” is a product of this point of view and it is a big step for the Turkish TV series industry to spread to wider geographies around the world.
The shooting of the Mavi Sürgün series, which is expected to consist of 26 episodes, will be done in our Aegean region and is expected to be broadcast in South American countries first. As a result of the results of this project abroad, similar projects may increase rapidly in the future.
This will show that a new stage has been reached in the development and expansion of the Turkish TV series industry.
