The Darmaduman series started with its first episode and the ratings did not satisfy, although it was a series starring four important actors. Hafsanur Sancaktutan, Mert Yazıcıoğlu, Aytaç Şaşmaz and Aslıhan Malbora were like the four horsemen of the apocalypse. The story of the series was adapted from Beverly Hills and it is obvious that this popular American TV series had a great impact in Turkey as well.
Although it is a youth story, the excitement shows itself in every scene, it is very effective and has a large fan base, how can the Darmaduman series not even get average ratings. The first episode of the series barely took place among the top 10 programs. The ratings came in below the average, and the interesting thing is that even the productions that don’t put a lot of effort can reach these rates.
Everyone sees that the audience’s interest in Fox TV’s series has decreased rapidly and that the ratings are not good despite the very successful projects and famous actors. The series attack that the channel management started two seasons ago did not have very fruitful results.
Fox TV now exhibits an image that makes serials one after another and spends them in a short time, that is, skidding in an effort to create excitement with the series circulation. Even without the Yasak Elma (Forbidden Apple) series, Fox TV does not have a TV series that can get a very good rating.
The reason for this situation is that the audience belief is low for Fox TV series. In other words, everyone knows well that if a series gets low ratings, Fox TV will take it off the air in a short time without giving enough time. Even if it’s a project they like, the viewers don’t want to waste time with the logic that it will be unpublished anyway.
The fact that Fox TV cannot go beyond the ordinary, despite young, energetic actors with millions of followers, whose every project creates excitement and such as Hafsanur Sancaktutan, Mert Yazıcıoğlu, Aytaç Şaşmaz and Aslıhan Malbora, shows that Fox TV should look for fault elsewhere.
