Famous actress Öykü Çelik has been on the sets since 2009 and has become a memorable name with her different roles.
The actress will take the audience to the early 1900s with her new series to be broadcast on TRT’s digital platform. Öykü Çelik, who took the leading role in the TV series Teşkilat-ı Mahsusa Tripoli, completed the shooting.
The actress, who will portray the character of ‘Leyla’ in the series, was in front of the camera for a series whose story took place during the Ottoman Empire.
The series tells the story of Teşkilat-ı Mahsusa, which was used as an intelligence and propaganda tool between 1913 and 1918 after the Second Constitutional Era, in the series that tells the secret organization established under Enver Pasha within the İttihat ve Terakkî Cemiyeti.
Some parts of the series were shot in Tunisia and Algeria. Şafak Bal and Oğuz Öztürk sit in the director’s chair of the production, which is about a real spy story.
Öykü Çelik, who shared the lead role with Ali Ersan Duru in the production, had previously acted in productions set during the Ottoman Empire.
Öykü Çelik, who met historical productions in 2010 with the character of ‘Mahfiruz’ in the movie named Makpeyker Kösem Sultan, then appeared in the TV series Bir Zamanlar Osmanlı Kıyam (Once Upon a Time Ottoman Kıyam) as a guest actress.
