Famous actor Ahmet Kural, who plays the character of Kemal and one of the leading actors of the TV series Kıbrıs Zafere Doğru, aired on TRT1 screens, was sentenced to a total of “1 year, 4 months and 20 days” imprisonment as a result of the decision made on the grounds that he had beaten the singer Sıla Gençoğlu, with whom he had a love interest in the past.
Sibel Aydın, the lawyer of the successful actor Ahmet Kural, made a statement on the subject after the final sentence of “insult, threat and intentional injury” and said, “The legal process continues for us.”
Sibel Aydın, on the process: “As a result of the decision, the sentence of my client Ahmet Kural was postponed. I would like to say that the outcome of the case will be clearly understood by the public, my client Ahmet Kural will not go to jail. We will use all the rights that the law gives to the client to the fullest. The legal process is not over yet, and if necessary, we will use the right to apply to the Constitutional Court. We have full confidence in justice.” made a statement.
Upon the decision, Sıla Gençoğlu’s lawyer, Rezan Epözdemir, said, “The appeal application against the defendant’s conviction for insulting, threatening and deliberately injuring the client Sıla Gençoğlu has been rejected and the decision has become final. Our legal struggle, which we have been continuing since the first day, has come to an end as of today, and justice has been manifested, albeit late. With the final decision and the legal process, the client’s rightfulness has clearly emerged. We are happy that justice has been served, albeit late,” he said in a written statement.
