There is great interest in the Kızılcık Şerbeti (Cranberry Sherbet) series, which is broadcast on Show TV on Friday evenings. While there are important developments in the story of the series, the decline in the last few episodes in terms of ratings does not escape attention.
We can understand from the falling ratings that some of the viewers stopped following the story after the Kızılcık Şerbeti series was not aired due to being punished by RTÜK for 2 episodes. However, it is unknown how long this process will take.
When the first season of the series is evaluated, it should be said that it made a very successful debut and that it has the potential to bring millions of viewers to the screen in the next season.
Müjde Uzman, who plays the character of Alev in the series, thinks that they came out of an environment where there is a possibility of misunderstanding, while evaluating the first season.
Explaining that they knew from the first episode that the series would be talked about a lot, but that they had a story at a very sensitive point, Müjde Uzman said: “I was very sure that it would be talked about. The trailer of our first episode was really striking. But I think because I knew we were on our way to really talk about something, not to get attention, I knew the audience would say, ‘Wait a minute, what’s going on’. It would bring curiosity, it would bring watching. Thankfully, we were understood correctly, we conveyed what we wanted to say correctly.”
While Müjde Uzman stated that they knew that if the story was not told correctly, there would be great trouble, she also explained that the delicate handling of the script was the main factor in the success of the Kızılcık Şerbeti series.
The actress said, “I think we have established that one-to-one communication with the audience. It would be a pity to be misunderstood, in such sensitive matters. But I think we understood exactly what we meant. That’s why I think it paid off.” She underlined that they have been very successful in the process so far.
Pointing out the importance of being a reflection of the events in Turkey under the success of the series, Ceren Yalazoğlu said, “It is very real, because it is a story from us, I think the audience identified it with their own life. That’s why it’s going well,” she said.
