The two major earthquake disasters that shook Kahramanmaraş left the whole of Turkey in mourning. The presence of people who were rescued alive from the rubble in this great pain fed everyone’s hope and made them feel very happy.
It was also very valuable to see the people bandaging their wounds in unity in such sufferings. Şevval Sam, the leading actor of the Yasak Elma (Forbidden Apple) series, published a video of an expert on how to behave while removing people from the wreckage and criticized those who showed exaggerated joy.
Every event that was rescued days, not hours, after the earthquake and described as a miracle, relieves the pain in the hearts of millions for a moment.
However, it is frequently stated by experts that the cries of joy, applause or exaggerated attitudes of those in the region during these moments of liberation pose a great risk to the earthquake victims.
Şevval Sam criticized these moments of joy, which could harm the current psychology of the person who was pulled out from the rubble during the earthquake, and wrote:
“I wish this problem had been raised at the very beginning. I understand the enthusiasm, but it was a huge mistake. Unfortunately, we have a lot to learn and a lot to learn from this great disaster and pain, there are many, many lessons to be learned.”
