Sevda Erginci’s conversation with Hakan Gence in Hürriyet newspaper came to the fore again after the 7th episode of the TRT1 TV series titled Seni Kalbime Sakladım (I Saved You To My Heart) was cancelled. In the conversation published on Youtube, the famous actress said that she was most worried about the rating professionally and that she was very uncomfortable with this situation.
While the actress expresses that it is a terrible situation to have to wish rival jobs to fail in order to be successful, she also suffers from wasted efforts due to ratings.
Sevda Erginci was one of the most well-known names on the screen during the summer period. However, in many summer series, there is a situation such as young people who have just started their careers and are newly famous.
Sevda Erginci, who stated that she observed this situation on the question, thinks that some actors in the sector are pulling themselves back.
The actress commented on the scarcity of well-known names in the summer series:
“I think something like this happened, something like a decrease in the actor. I faced it for the first time this summer. While casting, I heard a lot about ‘we can’t find a actor for this character’. I hear sentences like we can’t find any male actors. In the past, the dream profession was acting. Acting was a profession where you could be famous, make a lot of money, and make easy money and perform easily.
Social media has now filled that void. Social media has become the place where it was said that I can be famous and make a lot of money here and I can do this job easily. This is one of the things that hinders actor proliferation. There are also digital platforms, television is also divided. Not all actors do business for television anymore.”
Explaining that she loves the acting profession and will continue on her way, Sevda Erginci explained the reasons for this situation she faced and showed how effective social media has become.
