The first feature film of director Selcen Ergun, Snow and the Bear, attracted great attention as the only production from Turkey to be selected this year in the Discovery Section of the 47th Toronto International Film Festival, which includes exploration films.
Asiye Dinçsoy, Erkan Bektaş, Derya Pınar Ak, Onur Gürçay and Muttalip Müjdeci also take part in the cast of Snow and the Bear, a co-production of Turkey-Germany-Serbia, along with Merve Dizdar and Saygın Soysal.
The film, whose screenplay was written by Yeşim Aslan and Selcen Ergun, tells the story of a young nurse, who is assigned to a distant town where winter never ends, about power relations, secret partnerships and confrontation with suspicion.
