Tuzak (Trap) series starring Akın Akınözü and Bensu Soral appeared on TV8 screens with its first episode on Wednesday, October 19th.

The series, which made a big impression with its introductions and was eagerly awaited by Akın Akınözü fans, failed to deliver what was expected in the ratings with its first episode.

The screenplay of the series, which was disappointed in the face of its strong rivals such as Kuruluş Osman, Gecenin Ucunda, O Kız and Bir Peri Masalı, is written by the famous screenwriter Eylem Canpolat.

TV critic Sina Koloğlu shared a section of her conversation with Eylem Canpolat about the Tuzak on his social media account. Speaking about the clues of the story of the series, Canpolat said, “This is actually the story of ‘The short trash gets its due from the long trash, of course'”.

Talat Bulut plays the character of Demir Gümüşay, who is rich, powerful and has kneaded the tools of capitalism with evil, in Tuzak, which is about the character of Umut, played by Akın Akınözü, devoting his life to take revenge on the man who stole his father’s dreams and the future of his family.

Umut tries to avenge Demir, whom he sees victimizing other people, by making these people a part of the ‘Tuzak’, ending Demir Gümüşay and his power, and taking the lead for people’s rights. Eylem Canpolat says, “This is where revenge and justice intertwine.”

Eylem Canpolat defines the painting of love in Tuzak with these words; “City, bourgeois girl Ceren (Bensu Soral), on the other hand, is a character who has kept silent about her father’s evils because she was afraid, sometimes turns her back, ignores it, but always turns into herself because it disturbs her conscience. Our main hero, Umut, is the love of his life, who will cause conflict due to his feelings on the way to end this family, disgrace and even bring it to justice as he gets to know him while hating from afar.”
