Tuba Büyüküstün, whom we watched last summer with the TV series Sefirin Kızı (The Ambrassador’s Daughters), completed the shooting of her new TV series, Another Self, last summer. The series, which was shot for Netflix and whose Turkish name is Zeytin Ağacı (Olive Tree), finally meets the audience in July.
Tuba Büyüküstün, who has a large fan base abroad, has been away from the screens for a long time. The successful actress had accompanied Engin Akyürek in the last Sefirin Kızı series. However, the screen adventure of Büyüküstün, who succumbed to the series rating war, was short-lived.
The successful actress shot the series Another Self for Netflix last summer. In addition to Tuba Büyüküstün, Another Self, which includes names such as Seda Minister, Murat Boz, Serkan Altunorak, Fırat Tanış, Boncuk Yılmaz and Rıza Kocaoğlu, will be broadcast on Netflix on July 28.
The plot of the eight-episode series is as follows: Ada, Sevgi and Leyla’s friendships that started at university have turned into a friendship that gives them strength even in their most difficult times over the years. However, the strong bond between these three women gives Sevgi her biggest test after she is diagnosed with cancer.
Sevgi goes after a completely different hope instead of going to the hospital as Ada wanted. This quest initiated by Sevgi causes unexpected events not only in her but also in Ada and Leyla’s lives.
It was announced that the second season of the series, which was produced by OGM Pictures, would be shot before the first season was released.
Tuba Büyüküstün plays Ada and Murat Boz plays Toprak in Zeytin Ağacı, where the love of two characters named Ada and Toprak comes to the fore.
