Who is Engin Akyürek? Height – Age – Series – Family

Name: Engin Akyürek
Date of Birth: October 12, 1981
Place of Birth: Ankara
Height: 1.90 m.
Weight: 83 kg
Zodiac Sign: Libra
Eye color brown
Siblings: Eren Akyürek

Family: Originally from Erzincan Tercan. He was born and raised in Ankara. Her father is a civil servant and her mother is a housewife. He has a brother. “I am from Ankara. I love Istanbul, but my family is in Ankara. I was born and raised in Ankara. I have a different kind of connection with Ankara. Like a sense of belonging. But if you say ‘Go live in Ankara’, I wouldn’t live too hard. I have a brother. He is a banker. My father is a retired civil servant. My mother and father leave the choice to us regarding our choices. “Turkey’s Stars’ trust when they decided to participate in the competition named, they’re right. It was actually difficult in our time. There was no such competition or any other example. ”

Childhood years: He had a nice childhood running ball in the neighborhood. “In my childhood, most of my friends’ fathers were civil servants. And we had such a life setup. Even if my friend’s father was a civil servant, it was okay, I could talk to him. Because if he was a civil servant, it was thought that his family gave a certain culture and education. My parents still live where we lived before I started these jobs. Our life there continues exactly. After I left there and started acting, not much has changed in our lives. Only people who my mother hasn’t met for years feel the need to watch and search. I have never lost contact with my family; I go with them on holidays, at every opportunity. Technology is very precious on the one hand; It makes our lives extraordinarily easy, but for example, playing marble and playing ball was the most important socialization tool of my childhood. Today, there is no empty land where a child who grew up in the apartment could play ball without a astro pitch. The empty land is the place where you play ball, have fun, socialize and experience all your friendship relationships. I think we should not neglect to continue these while incorporating technology into our lives. ”

Educational life: He graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Language, History and Geography, Department of History.

Turning point of his life: “Turkey’s Stars’ by participating in the competition program has not changed the flow of the first life. When I was 22, I came to Istanbul from Ankara by train. Airplane was not that common back then. There is a nostalgic feeling created by the train between Istanbul and Ankara. It was a very cold day, there was snow. The year is 2003. I came to participate in the first qualifiers of the acting contest that I completed first. So to speak, I took my suitcase, got on the train, went down to Haydarpaşa Train Station. I had uncles here. Then the process started. I could not imagine these days. Our competition was the first of those on acting. There was no example in front of me that I can imagine. Everyone has a dream, of course. I came from Ankara to Istanbul and I had dreams, I wanted to do something good. But TV series are not that common, I don’t have an example from such a competition. I could not imagine these days. I wanted to act and I was excited about it. I had a feeling that I would do something good. ”

The first step to acting: He started his television adventure with the character of ‘Kadir Sadıkoğlu’ in the ‘The Foreign Groom’ series.

With which project did he shine? He drew attention with the character of “Mustafa Bulut”, which he portrayed in the “Beyond The Clouds” series.

Personality traits: Most of all, he listens to the people he loves, calm, stubborn and not aggressive. “I don’t necessarily believe that” what I say is true “. I have a sense of justice against what is right. Because of the work we do, you have to have your own truths and be persistent in this, but you have to express them in the right energy. I am not a belligerent and aggressive person. Sometimes I get very organized, sometimes I get disorganized. I fall apart at home, then recover. My books and movies at home are very organized. But my bag is incredibly complicated, you won’t find anything. It’s a little bit about my mood. In bilateral relations, I cannot stand insincerity the most. If you are not sincere, you bring a lot of negative emotions with you. ”

Sosyal: He has a lot of friends and still talks to his friends in Ankara. He likes to spend time with his loved ones in his spare time. “I have a life on the Anatolian side. I am mostly there. My friends and my circle are also on that side. Unless I have a job, I do not go to the European side. When I am working when I am not working, I do things that I cannot do out of time. I have actor friends, I also have friends from the neighborhood or from Ankara. I also like to spend time with myself. I love to go somewhere and read a book. I have other stories. We have a magazine called ‘According to His Head’. It comes out every two months. I am both interested in its content and my fictional stories are published there. We also send it abroad, there are many people who want it. It makes me so happy. People read and translate it into different languages. This is a very valuable thing. The stories there are very different. ”

Mindset: He is happy to be called a good actor. “I am an actor, I have no other profession. If you only do one thing in life and good things are said about it, it is very happy. Reviews empower, motivate and make your work better. Acting is a little bit of motivation. You should feel good. Dreaming is the powerhouse to do your job better. ”

What kind of person is he on set? He does not find the ego conflicts right on the set, he has not experienced such a conflict in the projects he has been involved in. “I did not experience such a situation on the sets I worked on. It is necessary to get away from these kinds of things. We are already doing a tough job, we are working hard, and it would be tiring to struggle with them in the set and caravan. The industry has now reached that maturity. It stands out when you do these kinds of things. ”

Happiness Source: Turkey and abroad have a great fanbase happy to hear this case. “The attention of my lovers is very precious and happy. They don’t know me after all, they know the characters I play. I do not have social media accounts, nor do we have any communication from there. There is a magazine that I write, the management company has an Instagram and Twitter address. Despite this, we have a good bond and friendship. They do great things, bring me together with valuable organizations such as Darüşşafaka Society. It’s a special occasion. This point of responsibility makes you more careful in your choices. ”

First motion picture: Kerem Deren / Bi Küçük Eylül Meselesi

His view of life: Acting is at the center of his life. “I love acting and always have dreams for it. But I want to tell my stories that have accumulated beside this. Maybe I can make a joint project abroad. I have always concentrated on television business for 10 years. I think I should concentrate a little more on cinema. I can exist in the cinema with different movies. Modern life offers something but what does it take. Something I’m obsessed with what modern life takes from me. I’m not just talking on smartphones, social media, I’m talking about emotions. Understanding and feeling each other is not as easy as it used to be. There are moments in life, and those moments are precious too. Why our hard and distant relationships now, when we were so happy and fun as a child. These are actually what I have in mind. It’s about our inner child. ”

Perspective on business life: Being known as successful both on television and in the cinema increases his responsibility in business life. “It takes a responsibility to do my job better. If there is a situation, it is necessary to continue the process. But this is not a traumatic, heavy, responsibility that I think day and night. Roles and stories come to you, sometimes you want to do it and go after it. You cannot build on achieving something. It is the result. The bottom line is to want to be in the project. It must be a job I believe in. I should enjoy being in it. There is a situation like this in the television business, when you do not sincerely tell yourself why you are in that project, you will get bored with the job. Because we have been working for a very long time. Projects sometimes coincide with the 1.5-2 year period of our lives. In order not to get bored and to express yourself correctly, you need to find the feeling and emotion you are looking for. ”

Career plan: In the selection of the project, it is very important to take part in the story that he can believe and be happy in. “I don’t have a problem to surprise the audience. You can play roles with similar feelings and tone. I just want roles I can believe in. You must be able to put your heart and soul into the character. I graduated from the history department. As a person who loves history, I also like period works. One of my first works was “Karayılan” period project. I would like to be in this kind of job again. I don’t call myself a comedy actor, but I want to be in a good comedy movie. It would be nice. ”

Future Dream: Among his forward-looking dreams is writing and shooting his own stories. “There are worlds and characters I want to tell. The period when I was not on the screen made me see a bit of ‘What can I do, what should I do’ in that sense. The point is to bring the things you write to life. I also have a desire to direct in the long run. My current plans and goals are about acting. But I’d like to shoot a story I wrote myself. I love cinema and I want to be there. I think I should concentrate more on cinema. I have dreams about him. ”

How did he decide to write a book? He published his first book “Sessizlik” in 2018. Writing has always been in his life. He donated the proceeds from his book to Darüşşafaka. “I was writing stories in college times. I was not writing very systematically, but there were stories I wrote in between. Later, when I started to write for the magazine ‘According to His Head’ published by a very close friend of mine from Ankara, it started to accumulate. When it accumulated, I thought, why don’t we make these books. Although I have written on different subjects, it was like the sum of a man’s view of these issues in a universe. It has become something that looks at matters with the same taste. I did not want to have such a perception, actually I did not write with a feeling like nostalgia or a beauty about the past. You are only in the present, the only thing you can compare today’s emotions, feelings, is your past. When my childhood and school adventures came together, I felt like I was coming to a good story point. In recent years, life has evolved at a pace we did not notice. Faster. We have returned to a life in which we listen to each other less, communicate less and feel less with each other. This applies to all of us. At the point where I started to realize these, these stories actually started to emerge. I donated the income of the book to Darüşşafaka. Thanks to my fans, they collected donations for a birthday and we came together with some of them in Darüşşafaka. When I learned what they did in detail, I realized how important an institution it is for this country. I wanted to contribute to this. Sharing is very nice, I think the more we share, the better we enjoy these things. Hardness softens, speed decreases, we turn to the child sharing their marbles. ”

Concerns: Find worrisome the violence he sees serious problems in Turkey. “As an actor, of course, I am uncomfortable with the picture emerging today. But one also questions this. Has this always existed? Its dosage may have increased with modern life. Did the media cause us to hear about them? I’m trying to understand this. I do not know if these harassment issues existed 30-40 years ago, but they remained hidden and continued as traumas of people. We can understand this issue better after 20 years. Perhaps it did and was not reported. Perhaps the tools of the modern age have helped to reveal this. We can also follow. Someone posts a tweet and we can all follow that incident. ”

How is it with social media? He does not have a social media account. “I don’t know if I’ll be on social media in the future, but I don’t feel such a need right now. I don’t think this is about being recognized, either. It feels like if I hadn’t done this job I wouldn’t have opened it again. I don’t want to share a moment about my life, even if I do, it won’t be a very special moment, I don’t know. In fact, these are not very thick lines. I don’t care too much about my phone in a friend environment, if we are eating, chatting, I turn it over and don’t look. I would also be annoyed if anyone does this in a way that makes me uncomfortable. Isn’t it a disrespectful attitude? Then the person across from me is not with me, not with the person he corresponds with. This is the modern man’s problem, it is not clear where we are. Sometimes I hang up at home for two or three hours. ”

Relationship with nature: He loves the Anatolian Side in Istanbul mostly, Kalamış and Fenerbahçe. “It’s just about the feeling of life, apart from being calm and peaceful. It gives a sense of belonging to those who live here. I am from Ankara and I liken it to where I came from. Out of the sea. I do not say it as where I live, but I love the streets, the feeling and the marina in Kalamış and Fenerbahçe. Bağdat Caddesi is one of the places that is good for me. Istanbul may have better places, but I like being on the street. I love a crowd that is not tiring. Being in the crowd is good for me. I also lived in the European Side and spent a lot of time. Bebek, Arnavutköy is very beautiful. It even has the most beautiful view in the world. I also love Üsküdar. It has an extraordinary view. It needs to get rid of the construction site and make itself felt. Actually, I got to know Istanbul during filming. Thanks to the shootings, I went to many different parts of the city. ”

What does he do at home? He also likes to spend time at home in his spare time. “I love how it wastes time while on vacation. I am not someone who wakes up in the morning and makes plans for the day. I kill time very well. I also enjoy it a lot. I do not think, “It was empty today, too.” I enjoy being alone. There are some people who want to make good use of time, I am not one of them. Sometimes I can go somewhere and sit there for three hours. I go somewhere by car, there are definitely places to see, if I see a pleasant cafe on the road, I sit, I don’t get up, I return without seeing places to see. I read a book when I’m bored. It is good for me. I try not to meet with my friends, because I do not want to be unfair to them. If I am very very bored, I will sleep.

Favorite writers: Paul Auster is one of his favorite writers. “Turkey, Hasan Ali Toptaş I really read a lot in the literature liking. His writings are stuck with me little by little. I think he is a living legend who can use Turkish very well. It is also from Ankara. I discovered it in middle school. Sezgin Kaymaz, also from Ankara, is a very good literary scholar. I think these are the authors who can bring the local to the universal. What I feel when I read is a pure, strong Turkish. I also like Orhan Pamuk very much, it is a wonderfully detailed pencil. I like the stories of Aslı Erdoğan. I like Buket Uzuner; sensitivity to nature and people is very precious. ”

Does he follow the fashion? He does clothes shopping himself, but does not like to spend time shopping. “I also don’t like shopping, I’m bored. I wear it when I first see it. I have no image concern. There are things I like, there are things I will never wear. You can never dress white pants, I don’t like colored jeans very much. Simplicity is my preference.
