The long-awaited Kaçış (Escape) series began its screen adventure with the release of its first episode on June 14. Unlike Netflix, the episodes will be brought to the audience intermittently by Disney Plus. All seasonal episodes of the series are broadcast simultaneously on Netflix. Disney Plus, on the other hand, prefers to broadcast episodes intermittently as a result of increasing the excitement and being a new platform.
İrem Helvacıoğlu was one of the names that entered the agenda of Turkey once again with the Escape series. Acting in the lead role with Engin Akyürek, the actress portrayed the character of activist Zeynep in the series where the story of a war correspondent is told. The actress, in the excitement of the Escape sequence, explained the details of her character with the following words:
“Zeynep is very strong in the place where she lives, she knows, and it is the same here. She’s an activist girl, she can handle anything, she doesn’t need anyone.”
Engin Akyürek, who wrote the story of the TV series Escape in 2017, was a facilitator for his co-stars as he was the person who knew the story best.
Drawing attention to this issue, İrem Helvacıoğlu said, “You are with the person who has the most knowledge on the subject and every question you ask has an answer. But apart from that, really nice people got together. “The story drew the right people together,” she said.
Explaining that the phones were not working in the village in Gaziantep, where the shootings took place, İrem Helvacıoğlu explained that they took great pains to be able to talk.
The actress said, “If you climb like goats and shoot in a certain location, you have to crouch down and talk there. Because there is no moment when you get up.”
İrem Helvacıoğlu explained with these words that they lived in difficult conditions during the shooting that lasted for 4 months and that they actually experienced some situations similar to those described in the story.
Pointing out that they had to climb to heights just like goats to be able to talk on a mobile phone, the actress stated that she tried to talk after catching the line and that the line broke even with a small change of place.
