Aliye is a Turkish TV drama series produced by TMC Film, directed by Kudret Sabancı, written by Şebnem Çıtak, Güliz Kucur and Ayfer Tunç, and broadcast on ATV between 2004-2006.
The series starring Sanem Çelik, Ayla Algan, Nejat İşler, Halit Ergenç, İlhan Şeşen and Ayten Uncuoğlu was written in mind as a very impressive production. The series lasted 3 seasons and was broadcast as a total of 76 episodes. Even the repeat episodes attracted a lot of attention later on.

OVERALL IMPRESSION:
Aliye, who tells about the drama and struggle with life of a young and beautiful woman who was deceived by her husband and who was left alone with her two children, broke the record for viewing between 2004 and 2006 when it was published. The series, which made Halit Ergenç, Sanem Çelik and Nejat İşler famous, succeeded in becoming one of the unforgettable Turkish series with its script and cast.
STORY:
Aliye is the bride of a wealthy family with two children. She lives in a big house with her mother-in-law and sister-in-law. Unable to find the happiness she was looking for in her marriage, Aliye learns that her husband Sinan cheated on her with a young girl. Aliye, who left home with her two children, tries to escape to Feyyaz, her uncle who lives in Istanbul and works as a dentist. She cannot prevent Sinan, who finds herself at the train station, from taking one of her children. Aliye, who is in search of a new life for herself in Istanbul, is also in a hurry to save the other child Sinan has bought.

PLACES:
Aliye’s story started in Edirne. The filming here was done in Kaleiçi. Later, with Aliye settling in Istanbul, the shooting continued in Istanbul. Kavacık and Üsküdar’s Kuzguncuk district were used as the main shooting location. While the hospital where Deniz character works was located in Beykoz, Aliye’s workplace was located in Kadıköy.
Iconic images of Istanbul were frequently featured in the outdoor shootings of the series. Shooting was done in places such as Kilyos Beaches, Moda Tea Garden, Kalamış Park, Üsküdar – Salacak coastline, Maiden’s Tower, Caddebostan Beach and Kalamış Marina. The famous Sarnıç Restaurant was used for the luxurious dinner scenes of the series.
GENERIC:
The soundtrack of the TV series Aliye left its mark on a period at least as much as the series. The soundtrack of the TV series made by the famous musician Kıraç was loved so much that the “Aliye TV Series Music Album” was prepared and took its place on the shelves.
