The preparations for the Atatürk series, the giant project of Disney Plus, which will say hello to the Turkish audience on June 14, continue at full speed. Another famous name was agreed upon for the series in which Aras Bulut İynemli will portray Atatürk.

The first announcement of the Atatürk series to be shot by Lanistar Media was made almost a year ago. In this announcement, it was stated that Aras Bulut İynemli would portray Atatürk. The series, whose preparations continue and whose cast is gradually formed, will meet with the audience in 2023, the 100th anniversary of our republic.

The last job agreed for this ambitious project was Sarp Akkaya. It was learned that the successful actor will give life to Enver Pasha, one of the leading leaders of the Committee of İttihat ve Terakki in the Atatürk TV series. Sarp Akkaya was on the screen with the TV series Evlilik Hakkında Her Şey (Everything About Marriage).

Among the previously agreed names for the Atatürk TV series, Songül Öden, Mehmet Günsür, Bertan Asllani were agreed. Songül Öden will play the character of Atatürk’s mother, Zübeyde Hanım, and Mehmet Günsür, his father, Ali Rıza Efendi. Bertan Asllani will give life to Ali Fethi Okyar, the President of the Former Grand National Assembly of Turkey, whose surname was given by Atatürk himself.

World-famous actress Emma Watson, who starred in Harry Potter, will also take part in the series. No word yet on what role Watson will play. The music of the series will again be made by the world-famous Hans Zimmer. The 64-year-old German musician has composed music for over 150 films since the 1980s. His works include The Lion King, for which he received an Oscar Award for Best Film Score in 1995, Pirates of the Caribbean series, Interstellar, Gladiator, Revolt at Sea, Inception, Dunkirk and Batman Trilogy.

The shooting of the series will begin towards the summer months and will meet the audience on the Disney Plus screen in 2023, the 100th anniversary of the founding of our Republic. Mehmet Ada Öztekin will be the director of the series, which will be shot for two seasons from six episodes.
