Master actor Erdal Özyağcılar came to the fore with the character of Hasan Ali Kuyucu in the Yasak Elma (Forbidden Apple) series last season. It was revealed that the actor, who took the lead role with Tolgahan Sayışman in the movie Mirrorless Haluk, also made a new series agreement.
Erdal Özyağcılar, who is expected to go to Macedonia soon to participate in the shootings with the team in Skopje for the new project called Balkan Ninnisi, will take part in a project that tells the Balkans again after 15 years. The actor, who is in the minds with the TV series called Elveda Rumeli (Farewell Rumelia), continues to work at an intense pace.
Erdal Özyağcılar, who starred together with Tolgahan Sayışman, who is both the lead role and producer of the movie Mirrorless Haluk, in the TV series “Elveda Rumeli”, which was broadcast between 2007 and 2009, met with his old co-star in a new project after many years.
The master actor said, “We spent 3 years with Tolgahan. He is a very sweet, honest, very sweet person. We have memories. When he came up with such an offer, I didn’t say anything to him. Because all I want is to give him a boost. He has given such a good effort and brought another production company to the film industry. It’s in a different category. The movie was good too,” he said.
Explaining that he was very busy, Erdal Özyağcılar also gave information about his new series. The name of the series was originally described as the Balkan Ninnisi, but a name change is also expected. Making a statement to TV100, the master actor said, “Maybe his name will be Rumeli Sevdası. We are doing something like this to TRT. We have a very nice staff,” he said, giving his first clue.
Even though it is not yet clear whether the name of the series will be Rumeli Sevdası or another name, the master actor has given the first tip in this way.
Explaining that they also worked together with Doğan Ümit Karaca, the director of the new series, which will be broadcast on TRT1 in the next season, on the Elveda Rumeli project, Erdal Özyağcılar explained that they met years later and costume rehearsals were held.
The actor, who also gave some details about the new TRT1 TV series that Uğur Uzunok and his friends are writing, made the following statement:
“The script is very cute, again starting with a family, loves, loves, old loves, the current situation of Turks in Macedonia. Turks are like a minority there. About them, of course, there will be comedy. But there will be drama as well as comedy in comedy, and comedy as well as drama. It will be another hot job, similar to the 2022 version of Evleda Rumeli.”
