The highly anticipated movie of the season: Zaferin Rengi (The Color of Victory); Based on real events that took place between 1918 and 1923, it is about the growth of the national struggle initiated in Anatolia under the leadership of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk in occupied Istanbul and the resistance of the Turkish people for independence, united and motivated by football victories.
The film, which will make its final with the Harington Cup, one of our most important football achievements that left its mark on Turkish sports history, will meet the audience in cinemas on February 16.
While the main hero of the film, Galip Bey, the founding member and legendary captain of Fenerbahçe, is played by Kubilay Aka, one of the talented actors of the new generation, we will watch Gülper Özdemir in the role of Peyker.
In addition, the powerful actors of the screens and cinema, Nejat İşler (Sabri Toprak), Timuçin Esen (Topkapılı Cambaz), Yiğit Özşener (Mustafa Kemal Paşa), Gonca Vuslateri (Vera), Yılmaz Bayraktar (Captain Bennett) and Birce Akalay (Halide Edib Adıvar) were also present at the time. It brings to life the symbolic politicians, intellectuals, military figures and heroic athletes of Turkish football history.
The trailer of the film, released after three teasers, also includes exciting shots from Atatürk’s visit to Fenerbahçe Club and Fenerbahçe’s matches with the occupation forces.
Zaferin Rengi, which will be released on February 16 and directed by Abdullah Oğuz, will take the audience back to the Istanbul of a century ago with its acting, decor, make-up and costume designs.
