The actress, who played the character of Çolpan Hatun in the ATV series called Destan (meaning: Epic), took a long break from the series. Born in 1984 in Istanbul, the actress has been on the sets since 2006.
İpek Karapınar, who played the character of Aslı in the unforgettable TV series Köprü, later attracted a lot of attention with the character of Funda in the Kurtlar Vadisi Pusu series. The actress, who played good roles in different productions in a row, also made a career explosion with the character of Feride in the TV series Kırgın Çiçekler.
İpek Karapınar, who returned to the sets in September 2021 with Destan after the 8-episode Seizure series in 2019, gives a very different exam with the character of Çolpan Hatun. First of all, because it is a series set in the eighth century, the actor entered into a different experience.
In order to take part in such a series, actors need skills such as riding a horse, learning to use a sword and shooting arrows. Horse riding is the most challenging thing for İpek Karapınar.
Because the actress had an unfortunate injury in horse riding before. She, who fell off the horse in the TV series Doludizgin Yıl, which was shot in 2009, was treated with the diagnosis of spinal cord injury. The possibility of paralysis on her face scared the actress a lot at that time.
İpek Karapınar, whose fear of horse riding resurfaced when the scenario of the Destan series came, said, “As soon as I read the script, I was inflamed with the feeling that I had to overcome this fear immediately.”
Stating that she made an effort not to contain the feeling of fear during the shooting of the series, the actress said, “That fear went away on its own, and I flowed with it.”
