The harshest criticism has been answered for the Kırmızı Oda series leading to the final!

Presenter and reporter Cansu Canan Özgen hosted psychiatrist and writer Gülseren Budayıcıoğlu in the program called 40, broadcast on BluTV. The novels she wrote in recent years or the events she saw during her career as a doctor came to the screen as TV series, which brought Gülseren Budayıcıoğlu to a very important point.

Gülseren Budayıcıoğlu, who is also a partner of OGM Pictures with Onur Güvenatam, is also accused of revealing the secrets of her patients. Stating that he receives such criticisms frequently, Budayıcıoğlu stated that a doctor would not reveal the secret of a patient to even the closest person.

Gülseren Budayıcıoğlu reminded that she took the Hippocratic oath and used the following expressions: “Thank you for this question, because I get this type of criticism a lot. A doctor, especially a psychiatrist, does not give the secret that his patient gives him, let alone making and showing a TV series in the media, even to his closest relatives. If it does, we should be suspicious of some things, we are the people who really started this business by taking the Hippocratic oath.”

He stated that his sole aim was to reveal the realities of Turkey and how people lived their lives that they never shared.

Doğduğun Ev Kaderindir, Masumlar Apartmanı, Camdaki Kız and Kırmızı Oda series emerged as series from her books and experiences.

Stating that there are great lessons to be learned from the lives that people do not share in Turkey, Gülseren Budayıcıoğlu said, “My only goal so far is to show people the realities of Turkey, which people never share or show us in Turkey, and how their lives are lived. There are great lessons to be learned from here, I have opened closed doors, I have never introduced anyone, not even a single patient of mine here, no one ever knew who he was, his family could not know, even he himself has asked me if this is me. It is out of the question for me to do such a thing. I shouldn’t have done it anyway,” she said.

The Kırmızı Oda series appeared on the screen as a production made up of lived stories that Gülseren Budayıcıoğlu listened to from her patients. Drawing attention to the Kırmızı Oda, which will make the final as of the 62nd episode, Budayıcıoğlu said:

“For example, in the Kırmızı Oda, my purpose and target here, I was not a writer, you know these things that are written a lot in the world. Not a single patient has ever been bothered by this work, never complained, he didn’t even tell me how… I would never do such a thing! But people, for some reason, wanted to interpret me like that, I have nothing to say to him.”

Explaining that the stories are not exactly the realities experienced and that no event is directly reflected on the screen, Gülseren Budayıcıoğlu added, “It is never as it happened, I will definitely give it a revision”.
