Veda Mektubu (The Farewell Letter) series, which was introduced as the new drama series on Monday evenings on Kanal D, was quoted from a true story. When we look at the first episode ratings of the Veda Mektubu series, in which the chain of events reflected in a case file is reflected as a more innocent story than its reality, it is understood that it had to face a result that it did not deserve at all.
The fact that the first episode of the series, in which valuable names such as Nurgül Yeşilçay, Selim Bayraktar and Bennu Yıldırımlar took the leading roles, could not even enter the top 10 productions among all programs stands out as a big problem. Veda Mektubu, which started the rating race badly on Monday evenings, achieved much below average ratings in all audience groups, creating a disappointment.
In fact, when you look at the story, there is no story that deserves such low ratings. Rabia Soytürk and Emre Kıvılcım, who are notable for the last period as well as experienced names in the cast, also take the lead roles. Despite the fact that they added to the series with their effective harmony and high energy, the ratings were unfortunate for the first episode.
It is obvious that Kanal D has invested in popular TV series in recent years and has been extremely successful. In other words, if the Veda Mektubu series gets better ratings from the second episode, there is a high probability that things will improve.
However, if similar ratings continue to come, the project will unfortunately remain a stillborn series without fully explaining itself to the audience.
We consider that the ratings that the Veda Mektubu series has achieved in the face of all the effort and the power of the story are unfortunate and that it can get better results from next week.
If the series Veda Mektubu continues to receive low ratings, Kanal D’s success in revealing the good series reflected in the last period will be overshadowed.
