The Mexican adaptation of the Emmy-winning Turkish series Şahsiyet has been shot!

The Mexican adaptation of the TV series “Şahsiyet”, for which Haluk Bilginer won the Best Actor award at the International Emmy Awards with the performance of Agâh Beyoğlu, was adapted. The show was called El Asesino Del Olvido (Before I Forget) in Mexico.

The first posters of the Mexican adaptation of Şahsiyet, which was designed as 10 episodes, were also shared. The most famous actors of the country, Damian Alcazar and Paulina Gaitan, will take part in the series, which was shot in different cities of Mexico. The series, shot by Mexican director Ernesto Contreras, will tell the story of Pascual, who has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, as he pursues a crime in the past and, meanwhile, her paths cross with Jimena, who is investigating the perpetrators of mysterious deaths.

Damian Alcazar, the much-loved award-winning actor who has appeared in successful productions on world television in Mexico, is known for his successful acting in popular projects such as A Wonderful World, The Perfect Dictatorship, The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, The Dandy, and Narcos in Turkey. Paulina Gaitan acted the character of Tata Escobar in the TV series Narcos.

Director Onur Saylak and screenwriter Hakan Günday also supported the Mexican adaptation of the series. The release date of the series is not yet known. Şahsiyet, which was broadcast on Puhu TV in 2018, took its place in IMDb’s list of the best series of all time with its strong cast and original script.


While Haluk Bilginer act the lead role in the Turkish version of the series, he is accompanied by very successful actors such as Cansu Dere, Hümeyra, Müjde Ar, Metin Akdülger, Şebnem Bozoklu, Necip Memili and Hüseyin Avni Danyal.

The Şahsiyet still meets the audience on Show TV on Tuesday evenings at 23.15.
