Selman Nacar’s new film Tereddüt Çizgisi (Hesitation Line), which had its world premiere at the 80th Venice Film Festival, won the Best Film award in the main competition section of the 23rd Cinemed Brussels Mediterranean Film Festival, which focuses on Mediterranean cinema. In the section where 7 films selected from the Mediterranean region competed, Tereddüt Çizgisi won the Grand Prix award given to the best film.
“Tereddüt Çizgisi”, written and directed by Selman Nacar, which won awards from the Zurich, Free Zone and Aras Film Festivals, tells the story of a murder suspect whom Lawyer Canan believed to be innocent and whom he had defended for a long time, having to confront his own conscience on the day of the sentencing hearing.
While Tülin Özen plays the leading role in the film, she is accompanied by Oğulcan Arman Uslu, Gülçin Kültür Şahin, Vedat Erincin, Erdem Şenocak.
The shooting of ‘Tereddüt Çizgisi’, produced by Kuyu Film, Fol Film, Karma Films, TRT, BKM Mutfak, Sev Yapım, Nephilim Producciones, Point Film, Arizona Productions, took place in Uşak in 2022.
The world rights of the film were acquired by Magnolia Pictures, which also represents Oscar-nominated films in the international film category such as Shoplifters, The Square and A War. The film, which is a Turkey-Spain-Romania-France co-production, was completed with the support of San Sebastian Film Festival WIP, Cinelink, Arras Days, First Cut Lab, 12 Punto, Meetings on the Bridge and Antalya Film Forum.
