Diriliş Ertuğrul is a Turkish television series in the genre of history and fiction that was broadcast on TRT 1 between 2014-2019. Produced by Tekden Film, written by Mehmet Bozdağ, directed by Metin Günay, and starring Engin Altan Düzyatan, Hülya Darcan and Esra Bilgiç, the first episode of the series was broadcast on December 10, 2014. Following the release of the first episode, it ranked 1st in the AB group rating on the day it was aired. The series also received the award for best TV series of 2015. It then won the Best TV Series of 2016 at the 43rd Pantene Golden Butterfly Awards. While the award was given, there were adverse events that were thought to be caused by the presenter.
