She got married and divorced once, she has a daughter named Refla from this marriage. “My mothers, four brothers, one brother. My mother’s father is a musician. They produce the musical instrument called “Cümbüş”. There is still revelry in Unkapanı, this work continues from generation to generation. My mother is a graduate of art history, my father is economics. I grew up in a somewhat authoritative but fun family. They were very in love with each other. They did not leave until my mother passed away. My father also had a music store. We used to sell records in the late 1970s. I grew up among pianos, guitars, instruments. Headphones would not be missing from my ear either. I started playing piano when I was 5 years old. I’m not playing right now, but I can start. ”
Education life: She completed her secondary education in Pierre Loti High School. She did her university education on Art History at Franklin College in Switzerland. She was trained with Şahika Tekand’s Studio Actors. She also took acting lessons from Laçin Ceylan after the workshops she attended abroad. Later she attended Derya Alabora’s lectures at the conservatory.
First step into acting: She started her television adventure in 2009 as a guest actor in the ‘European Side’ series.
With which project did she shine? She drew attention with the character of “Mukaddes” in “Fatmagül”
Personality traits: Idealistic, liberal, emotional, impatient, dominant, courageous.
Personal development: She decided to become an actress at the age of 36. She received many trainings to improve herself. “I saw doubt in the faces of even the closest people. They said, “Is it a job after this age?” I studied art history at university. At my mother’s insistence. She is also a dominant woman who graduated from the same department, she likes to guide me. I loved the history of art while reading. After I graduated, I worked in that field. But I always had acting in mind. I worked with Derya Alabora and Laçin Ceylan. I went to Şahika Tekand’s workshop and prepared a “showreel”. Showreel is a visual CV. You put sections from the projects you take part in. Since I was not playing anywhere, I wrote scenes, created characters and shot them on video, it became a dream showreel. They said, “I guess he’s crazy.”
Mindset: She had no dream of becoming an artist. She has always wondered about the cultures and lives of other people around the world. She lived in Boston-America for a year, studied in Switzerland for four years. “Then I came to Turkey, I did marry and have children. I organized exhibitions at a cultural foundation. I can not stop working. Being famous doesn’t make sense to me. There is no change in my life either. I also don’t mind the news in the tabloid press, on the contrary I find some of them too simple. Also, because I don’t restrict my movements at all, there are cameras around, so I’m comfortable. There are news like “He drank again, he distributed it again”.
First motion picture: Ali Yorgancıoğlu, Gönenç Uyanık, Uluç Ali Kılıç / Moral Bozukluğu ve 31
View of life: A free-spirited person. They have no wishes. She likes living simple. “I protect my freedom within a fair framework. I have no wishes. I don’t see life like that. I am very pleased with every mistake, every direct, every ups and downs I have ever made. I find it ridiculous to criticize my physique. There is a stereotypical concept of beauty. They want every woman to be alike, as if they came off a lathe. I do not accept this pattern and do not worry. I am at peace with myself. Like every human being, I like myself some days, sometimes I don’t feel comfortable. Getting older gives you the chance to know yourself. You know very well where you want to be. In the past, there are times when you are in limbo because you don’t know, but as you get older, you know. My own environment is very small, I know who is good for me, I live simple. It’s beautiful when it’s simple. ”
Her attitude to business life: When she decided to become an actress at the age of 36, she didn’t mind the people around her saying ‘I must be crazy’. “I think this is the right time. If I did it at the age of 25-26, maybe I would get a different result. I don’t think this is the age of the job. Acting is about life, the actor’s job is to replace the people in the stories. Therefore, people over the age of 40 also have stories and should be told. As for my verdict. I do not find this very brave. It was something I wanted very much and I did whatever it was necessary. While no one around me believed me, I continued. Being famous didn’t change my life, it just made me noticed by the crowd. ”
Career plan: She prefers to be a character actress. “I would like to be in a story set in this land, good director and script are enough. I prefer to be a character actor. It is important that the character actors keep the story together. ”
Dream of the Future: She wants to act and portray beautiful characters in the best way possible until the end of his life. She also very much wants to work with Iranian Cinema in the future. “Iranian cinema handles the subject very well, like a lace. One thing remains to play. ”
What does she do at home? She loves being at home. When she’s done, she rushes to her house and if she doesn’t have a job, she won’t leave the house for days. “As soon as I wake up in the morning, my first job is to open the music set, spread out on my large sofa, and start the day with a white cheese and rye bread toast with coffee. I sleep very little and start the day very early. Depending on my mood, I listen to classical or jazz all day. I like to host guests. I make pasta, my favorite dish, for them. Those who come to my house will definitely taste my pasta. ”
