Jessica May, who will take a role in a historical film project, is trying to capture the spirit of the period she will revive with the books she bought. Jessica May, whom we have seen in different projects as an actress in Turkey for a long time, has now started preparations for a feature film supported by the state of Uzbekistan.
The famous actress, who will portray an Ottoman concubine in the 15th century in director Yalkın Tuychiev’s movie, bought history books for her role and started working to get into the spirit of the character.
Jessica May, who will play the character of Princess Donna Maria, who came to the Ottoman palace in the movie “Ulug Amir va Donna Maria”, described her new role with these words:
“As an actor, it’s a project where I can add my everything. Because it has everything I want to play… So many different roles. Actually, I will play two characters. These characters are going through such great changes that as an actor, you have to do many projects in order to experience them. I will live them in one project. I am very happy, very lucky and very excited.”
Talking about the sharp transitions between the characters, Jessica May stated that she was very excited by the sharp transitions between the roles.
In addition to reading history books, the actress also took riding lessons for her role, saying, “I already knew, but there will be choreography. I need to develop it further. There’s choreography on the horse, I’ve never tried them before,” she said.
It is among the information that the shooting of the movie, in which the fate of Princess Donna Maria will be tied to today’s Maria, will be shot in Semarkand, Istanbul and Ankara.
Mentioning that it is a festival film and that 3 months of shooting will be done after a 1-month training period, the actor said that they are working hard and that the film will meet with the audience in 2024.
