Preparations are underway for the huge budget Mevlana series, which TRT is preparing to shoot for its digital channel, TRT 0. The work for the series has been going on for a long time. While the photos from Mevlana’s set reveal the magnificence of the series, a new name has been added to the cast.
Ebru Özkan- Efsun, Ahmet Mümtaz Taylan- Zerkubi, Ushan Çakır- Şirazi, Ahu Türkpençe- Kirra Hatun, and Gizem Yılmaz will portray the characters of Kimya in the series in which Bülent İnal will portray Mevlana.
In the meantime, a new name has joined the series. Nilay Deniz, who joined the cast of the series, will portray the character of Gürcü Hatun in Mevlana. Hz. Şems will be one of the most important characters of the series, in which Mevlana’s life will be told. The name that will portray Şems, Mevlana’s closest friend, has not been determined yet. After wandering around Şems-i Tebrizi, also known as Şems, like a dervish for a long time, he went to Konya upon a call he saw in his dream and met Mevlana, one of the greatest religious scholars of this place.
Mevlana, who has felt an emptiness inside for a long time, becomes enlightened and becomes a different person after meeting Şems and having conversations with him for months. The people of Konya hate Şems because it makes Mevlana a completely different person. Finally, Şems is killed by people who love Mevlana and cannot accept his change.
