Childhood years: After high school, she wanted to study psychology the most, but she states that she was not a hardworking type. “I just wanted to. I took the university exams and my score was enough for Anadolu University Tourism and Hotel Management Department. I ran to Eskişehir because it was something I wanted to get away from my family and to establish my own life as much as psychology. Then I joined the university’s theater troupe, where my only reason was to socialize. After school, I was having such fun and going with enthusiasm that you think I have been burning with the love of theater since I was born. That’s when I first got involved with acting. The former members of the team would have been so impressed with my work that they said to me, ‘Don’t quit, take the exam, acting is your job’. I finished tourism and took the exam. I passed a tough exam with honors. I entered the set for the first time with the TV series “A Tale of Istanbul”. I act the maid, I open the door to the lead roles. I was waiting for the line without lines to say, ‘One day they will write me a song too’.”

Education life: Graduated from Anadolu University State Conservatory Acting Department.

Turning point in her career: She sees the TV series “Gülümse Yeter” as the turning point of her career. “When the series made the final decision, the whole team cried. We were having so much fun and laughing that I think my life went on for another ten years on that set. And of course the role I act is ‘Nermin’ my dear Nermin. Nermin is my turning point.”

Unforgettable memory: She can’t forget the audition of her first movie. “I went to so many auditions, I went through such things that I can’t explain. Generally, there were not many funny moments in my auditions. It was tense and stressful times for me most of the time. But I have a memory that I can never forget; My audition with Özcan Deniz for the movie ‘Cute Danger’. I studied the scene they gave me and left, but Özcan Deniz gave the lines of a completely different scene. Of course I was shocked. No rote, nothing. He said, ‘Forget about memorization, let’s chase after the feeling’. I enjoyed immensely. When it was over, Özcan said, “Okay, it’s done.” I remember asking, ‘Did it happen?’ a few more times after saying ‘Your role’.”

The first step into acting: She started her television adventure in 2004 with the character of ‘Pelin’ in the TV series ‘Cennet Mahallesi’.

Which project did it shine with? She attracted attention with the character of “Şeyma” in the TV series “Bizim Hikaye”.

Mindset: “Until these days, the thing I noticed in myself the most, that I thought was a problem, that I had raised, that I had problems with, may have been to realize how simple it really was. With time, your expectations have also changed. While I am more impatient, more hectic, more insatiable, I spend my energy to accept what is now and to feel the beautiful side of life, the present moment more.”

Her view of love: “I think love is the most cruel but also the most beautiful feeling in the world. When I fall in love, I feel strong enough to take a piece of myself and give it to the person I love. I care, I listen, I support. Even though sometimes it was too much for the other side, I could never give up this side of me. Have I had disappointments of yes a lot. But now I am with a person who has experienced the same disappointments, and who gives heart just like me, and despite the promise that “love will surely end one day”, I wake up in love again every morning. Lovely. This is not evolution, maybe a revolution for me. “

Source of happiness: For a woman, she thinks that her highest awareness is in her 40s, and she is happy to enjoy her age. “The 40s. It takes away a lot of things from you and adds a world of emotions and thoughts that you can’t even imagine. Seeing the 30s, digesting what you saw in the 40s and bringing them to life. I may have approached this maturity more quickly because I am an actress and deal with people and their psychology a little more than anyone else. I don’t know, but my priorities have changed. I believe more in life. I respect and defend more and more every living creature, nature, human, justice, sense of trust and freedom. The more I know that you won’t be able to do without them, that self-deception is useless.”

First feature film: Özcan Deniz- Reyhan Pekar / Sevimli Tehlikeli

Her outlook on life: She compares life to a big tree. “Imagine a big tree, it has lots of branches and it goes on and on. In fact, life is a journey that consists of turning points and choices. Like the branches of a tree. There are thousands of decisions that I have made in my life. The first is to decide to take the conservatory exams. It really changed my life completely. Because I found the answer to what I want, what will make me happy. Afterwards, it always led to the developments, transformations and results it brought. So I held on tight to the branch I had chosen.”

Perspective on business life: The most important factor that gives her the enthusiasm and enthusiasm to work in her profession is the harmony of the team. “Our job is teamwork. No one can do anything alone in this profession. The actress travels with a huge army. It is the same in theatre, in cinema and on television. And if my team is working in harmony with peace, I take off. So what makes me vent in life? Sincerity. How cool to be sincere, to be, to be honest with yourself. What great freedom. I think the biggest reason why the roles I acted are still talked about and remembered; maybe it is because I try to act them lovingly, willingly, enthusiastically and with all sincerity. To be clear, you may not be able to do a full character analysis of your role in the selection phase in the series. It’s not like a act. ‘This is the woman. You cannot say, ‘This is this man. On the way, everything can change, transform. This can be directly proportional to the interest of the audience and often the performance of the actress. In short, the fact that Nermin, Şeyma or Ayfer, which I am trying to act, is talked about so much; It may have been because of the luck that the producers gave me, the screenwriter’s realization of the character’s potential during the journey, and the fact that the audience did not let go of her”

Career plan: She wants to do her job until the end of her life and appear before the audience with different roles. “Theatre; my opposing side, which I have been educated, pondered over, never let go of, that I protect, that I constantly experience, that I share what I know and what I have accumulated. In the theater, you get the reaction of the audience immediately. You feel. This is probably the most indispensable feeling. to feel them. And one of my indispensables is the working process and what I learned in that process. Acting takes dedication. If you don’t do it for a while, if you don’t keep learning, it will leave you. You keep repeating yourself. It’s actually crazy because you have emotions in it. When they say, ‘This is the actress,’ they also talk about your madness. That’s the best part, I think. We are crazy. Our job is to sell emotions. Sometimes we live without a penny, sometimes with beautiful surprising earnings. We like the challenge. We look at people differently. We also like to analyze them. We want to be the voice of the voiceless. We support the small and the marginalized. We can speak comfortably on stage and make them realize that nobody dares to speak. We wake up. We try to keep them awake. What a wonderful job when you say it like that.”

What has she learned from the pandemic process? Yes, this epidemic has closed us in rooms, houses, inside us. We have become afraid of things we are not afraid of, such as hugging. We can’t talk about anything else. It changed our jobs, our relationships, our insides. Some lost themselves, some found themselves. Our priorities have changed. While we love to consume, it forced us to think about what we can produce from where we sit. We didn’t shake mother nature much, the lady showed her strength. “I’m in, you’re nothing,” she said. She taught us that our precious chests are not worth a penny. Is it shoes? Is it clothes? It reminded us of our homes, our kitchen, for example, what it means to live as a family. How real is the fear of death, of suddenly losing loved ones… That death will knock on your door at any moment. It taught cleanliness… Sharing, giving what you don’t have to what you don’t have, solidarity. But I am most afraid of this memory problem. I am afraid that everything will return to normal in two days, we will forget about them. Do not forget.”

Concerns: She thinks that one of the areas that the pandemic has hit the most is the theater. “The big and small theaters have all closed their curtains. Some are almost in the process of closing. The theaters and their staff, scorched in their own fat and struggling to even finance their next project, were helpless. And yes, of course, I will offer all my support to the theater, which will be there again after the pandemic. What role do I want to act? I guess being on stage excites me the most right now. I’m more interested in trying to save art. I am sure that many acts will be written to describe the current state of the world, the point we have come to, and what happened. I want to be in those games.”

What’s your biggest craze to date? “When you look back on things that once seemed crazy, you say, ‘Oh dear, it wasn’t that crazy after all’. It’s not like jumping from a high, flying or anything like that. I think the biggest ‘crazy’ a person can do for herself is when he suddenly leaves everything and draws a brand new path for herself. “

TV series she follows: She is trying to follow foreign TV series. “But most of them I have continuity problems. There are ‘Game of Thrones’ and ‘Shameless’ that I watched without quitting. “
