Pelin Karahan, who plays the character of “İnci” in the TV series “Bir Zamanlar Kıbrıs” broadcast on TRT 1 screens, is admired for her beauty as well as her talent.
The beautiful actress, who will go to Cyprus for the shooting of the new season of the series in the coming weeks, was a guest of this week’s issue of Alem Magazine and made special statements. Karahan told her story of stepping into acting with the following words; “After I came to Istanbul, I received comments from my circle that ‘Your face is very beautiful, you look good on the screen, I wish you would act in commercials’. Afterwards, our paths crossed with Erberk Agency and my acting adventure started.”
The “Kavak Yelleri” series, which was a phenomenon when he first took a role and came to the screen, has an important place in the life of the actress. Karahan’s feelings about the series; “Poplar Yelleri was a big business that took five years. I grew up and cooked on this project. It has a very different place. Even though it has been more than 10 years, they still call her Aslı on the street. It was a project that I embraced very much like the audience. It was in our teenage years. When I come across it on TV, I sit and watch it with excitement and without getting bored. The magic of that time was something else. There weren’t as many alternatives as there are now. The stories took longer. ‘Kavak Yelleri’ was sitting with everything. It was a youth series that made a throne in people’s hearts, it was a job that everyone loved. It always has a special place for me. She was both my first job and one of my longest-running characters.”
Pelin Karahan stated that she has a wide circle of friends; “I can say that I have a lot of friends too. I have accumulated many friends. My friends who are actors because of my acting, our group of girlfriends from university, whom we meet at every opportunity, my childhood friends, those who went beyond the neighbourhood… You know many people, but your friends are few. I look at it like this, my friend is also very much and I enjoy it. I can also establish a good friendship with someone 15 years older than me; both my age and five years younger than me. I love them all, I’m glad they exist.”
Pelin Karahan, who has two sons named Ali and Can, said that she likes to spend her free time with her children and said, “Ali Demir is a little more fond of me. Can is a bit of a maverick, but Ali Demir has drawn the same character as her father. He looks more like me. I know that 0-7 years old is the most difficult process and whatever you give in this interval has an important role in shaping your character. Nowadays, when getting up from the table, everyone takes their plate to their kitchen and says ‘Good luck’. If we can develop such small but important habits now, they will do it spontaneously in the future. We put a lot of emphasis on these kinds of things. Like children’s place in the house, help, respect, how they should treat women. We pay special attention to these. For example, I specifically say that I always go to work, I want them to know that I am working. Mom goes to work, mom earns money. It is very important for them to gain this perception.” made the statement.
The famous actress answered the question “What is your biggest luxury?” as follows; “I can say doing sports. It’s something that I won’t give up even at a busy pace. Because it has a great effect on keeping my resistance high. It gives an incredible positive energy. It is a really important factor that affects my entire day.”
