Childhood years: As a child, he was very interested in music. He was playing the piano, he learned to play the guitar himself. “I was literally hiding in the music. I questioned where I was in the whole, who I was, what I felt. He must have habituated it, it still is. I think many people turn to art when they cannot find an answer to the question mark in their minds. One of my handicaps in life is that I have so many interests. Nowadays, I am trying to keep the promises I made to myself in my childhood. I started playing the piano again. I’m thinking now; During my school years, it was obvious what my friends would do three or five times in the future. Because I was dealing with more than one thing, it was never known. Monkey is not appetite either; This is how I started to hit the outside with what I live inside of me. I can never be successful in a routine setting. I think that period, which I described as taking shelter in things in my childhood, has brewed and blended over the years, the only job that I wondered about, combined everything I was interested in, and which I could do without routine, which led to the birth of acting in me. ”
Education life: He graduated from Istanbul Kültür University Art Management Department. He studied acting at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) Acting School. During his education, he also took acting lessons at Şahika Tekand Studio Players Community.
How did he decide to become an actor? He knew very well that he wanted to be an actor, but he had a lot of questions about where to start and how to do it. He made up many exercises on his own. “I’ve observed people a lot. I researched and saw that this job is done in England. While thinking about how I do it, how I do it, I discovered LAMDA, the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts. It drew my attention that Haluk Bilginer was trained there. My professor at the university, Kürşat Alnıaçık, kept telling me that I should go abroad. I quit work a little while before I took the exam. It was the situation of jumping off the cliff saying ‘Let’s see what will happen to us’. If I had a hard time, I was thinking of knocking on the doors of famous businessmen and saying, “Would you give me a scholarship?” My father was also very helpful at that time. When I came here for summer vacation, we met my manager Zeynep. I told him about my situation and said that I would never do a TV series. I think back to Turkey, I knew I wanted to do theater in London. But I thought we should meet just because a very interesting movie or something short-term would come out. Then, when the “Lost City” proposal came, he called me directly and said “I know you don’t want to make a drama, but this is a very interesting thing, if you want to have a look.” I really liked it. ”
First step into acting: He started his television adventure with the character ‘Alper’ in the series ‘Son’ (The End) in 2012.
With which project did he shine? He drew attention with the character of “Poyraz Karayel” in the series “For My Son”.
Personality traits: Determined, cool, calm, mischievous, perfectionist. “I am just a perfectionist man at work, in my normal life I let everything flow. I am meticulous and detailed in my job. Because what is more important than that; You appear in front of the audience! In general, I am always calm. But I get angry when there is a business incident, whether it is done to me or someone I don’t know, against all kinds of injustice and when lied. There are also types who try to deceive people, I don’t get angry with them, I just pity. ”
Social: The way of socializing has also changed over the years. While socializing, she likes to spend time with people she truly believes to be sincere. “I am like a cat with my cats, and that sounds good to me. I love the untold relationships of animals. Even when you meet someone today, you feel this: The two heads stand opposite each other and you now see the bumps, divisions, calculations, books through the other’s head. I no longer have a place for these kinds of relationships, so I immediately get away from such environments. I take care to waste my energy when I meet people who I believe to be really sincere, with no filters. ”
Mindset: At the end of the day or at the end of a decade, when he looks back, he believes in the importance of everything he does, good and bad. “Even though it upset me at the time, when I come to terms with myself, I should be able to say ‘yes I have done what I want to do and I’m doing it alive’. I live the life I want, and I don’t have to apologize to anyone. I am not in debt to anyone. I did everything I have created in my own life. I take responsibility for it, for good and for bad. I saw an article recently that was telling exactly what I was thinking; “Would your 10-year-old self be proud of your present state?” This is my reality. Would he take care of your 10-year-old state today? Would he want to be someone like he is now? Would he be proud of him? Would he want to be friends? My 10-year-old self is now giving me a tiny smile, a beautiful smile. ”

View of life: Many things have changed in the perspective of life over the years and it is still changing. “I am in a good process, I get along better and I am more tolerant to myself. I think this is a point brought by leap years. I am more comfortable. I enjoy letting life flow. I feel less upset when something goes wrong. Life feels easier than when I was in my 20s. And it’s nice to admit yourself, stop fighting yourself, really. ”
His view of business life: He doesn’t like to watch himself on the screen. He thinks that being an artist actually means being different. I keep a little distant when it comes to watching myself. I do not like very much. There is no end to saying if I did it like this, if I did it like this. It is a process that gives people some pain. You see the things you missed, you keep wondering what it would be like if I had installed it from somewhere else. That’s why the part I enjoy the most is production, not consumption. And he mentions that being an artist actually means being “different” in a way: I think this distinction should not be made within any branch of the anat. The person you call an artist shouldn’t be like everyone else anyway. For example, it is a question mark how much an “artist” is an artist that everyone loves and adores individually. Just as a person we call a “scientist” works to gain new knowledge to humanity, the task of the artist is actually similar. It has to reveal something that did not exist before on the forms, forms, and relationships in life. It must break any already existing, accepted or generalized taboos. It is a difficult type, so what we call artist. He searches, searches, questions, does not like. He can get stuck with very simple things, he doesn’t care about big things; it can annoy people. ”
Career plan: He scrutinizes the project selection, he needs to be confident, money is not a criterion in his choices. “I also live without money. Money is not filled with money. I have a particularly picky side about work. As a player, I believe I should have the right and the luxury to disappear when the occasion comes. The other way is easy; keep in mind! I don’t want such a thing because I love my job. I am mostly after wrestling with different characters, kneading and improving myself. I do not want to get ahead of the identities that I give life to with my own identity. While making my choice, I try to read the script well, and also see if reading the script triggers my instinct. It was definitely a concern, if it is a project with an attitude, you get into it while reading. I usually find myself singing lines out loud while reading in works I accept. ”
Dream of the Future: There is no point to reach in life, no dream goal. He strongly believes that everything evolves organically and that one should not manipulate it. “In the flow of everything, therefore, setting very serious goals in life is a process that can make people unhappy, aggressive and eventually tire. There is already a huge flow from you. You will either resist or not resist and let yourself go and have fun with its flow. ”
His biggest passion: His biggest passion is music. He is a good musician as well as a good actor. Although he does not have a professional idea of releasing an album, he always thinks he will do something about music because he describes music as “one of the arteries of his life”. “Sometimes I like to make music with my friends and sometimes alone. My biggest discharge method is music. I play the piano, drums, percussion, guitar. I was a professional DJ for four years. But making an album is a different matter. It seems more correct to wait for a natural inspiration for this. I am an actor and of course I can use these for a role in a future project. For the album, there must be a different concentration and desire. Otherwise, it doesn’t seem right to do something just because I can do these things. Because it was music, all the flavors in the world would disappear for me. My artery would be cut off. Probably not seeing these days, I would die at a younger age.
Concerns: He finds the censorship in the field of culture and art worrying and can never tolerate injustice. “The diesel of the system is fear. We are a society of fear. Since our childhood, we have been raised like that, managed with fear. This situation has infiltrated every aspect of our lives. We do not know how to do anything with love and respect. Regardless of the extent of the injustice, even if I am involved in it, if I am wrong and if I become part of it unintentionally, even I do not matter there. It is not a matter of being right or not, it is a matter of direct fairness. You can see me wherever there is any injustice. ”
Hobby: He has been diving since he was 10 years old. He enjoys going to Kaş and diving. He can’t put his feelings about diving into words. “The only place that completely covers my fuse panel is under the water.”
